Souder: Matthews 'tricked' Bachmann
Republican Rep. Mark Souder is accusing Chris Matthews of tricking Rep. Michele Bachmann into suggesting that the media should investigate members of Congress for “anti-American” views.
“Chris Matthews tried to trick her into that question over and over again in that interview,” Souder said. “Unfortunately, in her last comment, she fell for the trap.”
Bachmann later said she misspoke but maintains she was baited by the MSNBC host into making the comments.
