(CBS/AP)  Three Silsbee High School football players have been charged with raping a cheerleader at a post-game party.

Christian Paul Roundtree, 18, Rakeem Bolton, 17, and a 16-year-old boy, whose name was not released because he is a minor, have been charged with sexually assaulting a child, the Beaumont Enterprise reported.

Roundtree and Bolton were both released on $100,000 bond late Monday. Information about the 16-year-old, who was taken to the Hardin County Juvenile Correction Center, was not immediately available.

The cheerleader and the suspects were at a house party early Saturday when the alleged assault occurred, according to an arrest warrant affidavit filed by the Silsbee Police Department, reports The Beaumont Enterprise.

The girl told police that three males forced her into a room, held her down and sexually assaulted her, the affidavit states.

When others at the party tried to open the door, two of the males fled through a window of the one-story house, according to police. The third boy remained behind.

One of the suspects who fled left behind a pair of shorts, and later returned and made threats so he could retrieve them, the affidavit states. The police were called about 2:40 a.m., Police Chief Dennis Allen told the newspaper.

The cheerleader told police she was sexually assaulted and described three to four attackers, Allen said. Police are investigating whether alcohol was present at the party.

The alleged victim was taken to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital, where doctors administered a rape kit, the newspaper reported. The kit will be sent to Texas Department of Public Safety, with results taking up to four months.

Bolton and the 16-year-old were arrested about 9:30 a.m. Monday at Silsbee High School, Allen said.

Roundtree was later arrested at his grandmother's Silsbee residence, he said.
A fourth male was a suspect but now is serving as a witness, Allen said.

Well...in the first place...we, the public, don''t know the whole story. I know that I have three boys and throughout their teen years, the teen girls practically threw theirselves on them...and the way girls dress now-days. Their moms should be ashamed of how they are raising their daughters. But think about it...how old was your grandmother when she got married back in the day....12....13....and no one thought anything was wrong with it back then. The truth will come out in the end.

My 14 Year old Daughter was played by a 20 year old into having *** and it was Rape even if she wanted to have ***. He was arrested the Next Day and ended up serving 4 years in Jail. There were other children who refused to testify in Open court and he got off easy we found 3 others who''s parents refused to allow their children to go to court. He could have been locked up for 20 plus years had they done what was right and had the parents done what was right and made the children confront the rapiest.

Such poor parenting skills now adays in America. That was 12 years ago and I would do it again.

Even if the Girl agrees to have *** at that age it is rape they are not legally able to consent.....

Wake up parents put these folks in Jail it is not the first time you can bet and wont be the last either.

What I hope for all involved here, is the this young lady is telling the truth. If she is not, it will come out in the long run. In the mean time, either way though, she has not only altered her life permanently, but that of her family. Worse yet, she has altered and possibly ruined the lives of those three boys. Time will only tell...

I think a 16 year old IS a child. I''m a 16 year old girl, and as much as I''d hate to admit it, I am a child whether people think that I am or not. But I understand that she''s being called a "child" because two of those kids that raped her are being charged as adults. So, technically, compared to them (by law) she''s a child.

"It''''s a horrible thing that happened, but I wouldn''''t call a 16 yr old a child."

You might if it were your daughter.

Regardless, rape is rape, and it doesn''t matter if she was an adult or child or somewhere in between.

Legally, though--she''s a minor. That will matter in court. Thankfully so. If found to be accurate according to the girl''s account (and that of others at the party), then this was a vicious attack, and those boys should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

As for the girl being out late--sounds like a lot of kids were out late, and I hope my daughter is never one of them--but I would like to think if she IS out at 2:40 a.m. with a group of friends she would still be safe in their midst. Apparently, these days, that''s too much to hope for.

Women need to earn back their respect and stop giving it away and men need to grow up and stop asking for it. And the boys involved in this should be put to sleep because they will always think what they did is acceptable and it isn''t. Liberalism is killing this country, it''s work and moral ethics.

It''s really because of "supply side economics" The morally bankrupt "free market economy"
"Dad" is either working two jobs and is too maxed out to supervise his sons, or he can''t get a job and becomes a drunk,or drug addict who beats the wife and kids.
When I was a kid many years ago, a household needed only one wage earner. You could walk into most any business and get a job right away. That can no longer happen since greedy repub FILTH have exported millions of jobs off of our shores. Americans in the 1950''s had more free time than any other society on earth. Now they have the *LEAST*
Thanks to senile Reagan, and the dry drunk Bu$h, those days of easy employment and *middle class* prosperity are gone forever.
The social devastation that we are witnessing in this society can be laid at the feet of callous republican GREED. We reap what we sow. To blame it on women shows how stupid you are and how typical repubs have a tunnel vision Taliban mentality.....

We have kids growing up with out their fathers, and more importantly, without their mothers. And they''''re growing up to be hooligans.

All because of some short sighted notion that women want to be equal.

We can''''t even get the Democratic presidential candidate to put the primary candidate with the MOST votes onto HIS ticket. Why? Because she''''s a woman!

Posted by yurfulla at 01:23 AM : Oct 23, 2008

And you obviously think she should be on the ticket just because she IS a woman.

Considering the campaign that Hillary ran against Obama, only a moron would think she would be asked to be on the ticket, woman or otherwise....

rape should carry a sentence of death. even if the individual, male or female, who is raped is not killed the raped individual will be damaged goods for life. the time has come to execute violent *** offenders, rapists, regardless of their age.

Sounds like more of the feminist movement from 30 years ago. How''s that working out for ya?
We have kids growing up with out their fathers, and more importantly, without their mothers. And they''re growing up to be hooligans.

All because of some short sighted notion that women want to be equal. Women are not equal. Men can not have babies and raise them, only women can.(as if you needed me to tell you that.)

Women have long been the nurturers, and the teachers of great men, and humanity. They teach children to be human, and to respect one another.
Otherwise, we have a society like we have today, no respect, no humanity..

God Bless mothers of yesteryear.
