CBS Evening News: McCain And Obama Discuss Their Opponent's Greatest Strength And Weakness

(CBS)  In November, Americans decide whether Barack Obama or John McCain becomes the 44th President of the United States. In the series "Presidential Questions," CBS News anchor Katie Couric asks questions that move the candidates well beyond the usual sound-bites. Some questions concern policy. Others are more personal. All will give you a better sense of who these men are - and what has shaped them. What follows is Couric's question - and the candidates' full answers.

Katie Couric: What do you believe is your opponent's greatest strength and greatest weakness?

Barack Obama: Oh, I think Sen. McCain has a number of strengths. Obviously he has great inner resolve and determination. And you know, he himself, I think has indicated how that was forged in his experiences as a POW. And I have the utmost respect for that. He served gallantly and with great distinction. And we honor that.

With respect to Sen. McCain's weaknesses, I would, rather than talk about his personality, I would simply say that his policies seem to be just a carbon copy of the policies that we've seen over the last eight years. He hasn't paid a lot of attention ... to the difficulties and the hardships that ordinary Americans are feeling and the history of America shows that economic growth happens most when the pie is growing, but it's growing for everything.

John McCain: I think his greatest strength is that - and I admire and respect Barack Obama - is his ability to motivate Americans. He does that with eloquence. And he motivated millions of Americans and continues to do so.

I think probably his greatest weakness is his lack of experience and, therefore, judgment. And that's just what has led him, I think, to make certain judgments, which I don't think are best for this country.

Obama''s eligibility to run for President of the United States is in question.
Members of HIS OWN immediate family claim he was born in various places, but this is the bottom line.
When his step-father, a wealthy business man, was recalled to Indonesia by Indonesia''s leader''s dictate, there is a question whether Obama aka Barry Soetoro (stepson of Leo Soetoro) was adopted. In which case, his U.S. citizenship (if he was originally a U.S. citizen, was relinquished). At the time that he was in Indonesia, the U.S. did not observe dual citizenship with Indonesia.
It is rumored that Obama traveled to Pakistan to visit a college roommate''s family and travel, and that he did so on an Indonesian passport.
If Obama has become a U.S. citizen since his time in Indonesia, he is termed a "NATURALIZED" CITIZEN, which is not the same as a "NATURAL" CITIZEN.
Even if he was born a U.S. citizen, if he relinquished his U.S. citizenship, or his Mother relinquished it for him, he would still be a NATURALIZED CITIZEN,,that is, IF he does not still hold citizenship to another nation.
He would be ineligible to run or hold the Office of President of the United States according to our laws.
Otherwise, Arnold Schwarzenegger would also be eligible for that office.

Obama NRVER gave up his American Citizenship when he lived outside the country for a short time. He was raised a Christian by his mother and grandparents, and still is. There are many intelligent Christian Theologists who have studied the other religions so they can do comparative studies. Obama has been proven to be a practicing Christian, but if he has even an inkling about Muslim practices, that''s a bonus for the American people.
Why can''t the right believe the truth when it''s right in front of their faces. His birth certificate and everything he''s done in the past has been verified by the DNC; the RNC, the FBI and Immigration(just to name a few sources.)

You don''t hear the Democrats going on about McCain being born in Panama, so stop lying and hating on Obama. It''s clear to everyone that you''ll look for any excuse not to vote for Obama; but too bad, because he''s a full-fledged American citizen and a Christian. End of Story.
And to those who are spreading the lies that the Muslim world wants Barack to win; Think Again. They want to exhaust the U.S. Military Forces while they''re rapidly (thanks to the war in Iraq)growing by leaps and bounds. McCain will drain the country''s economy further by letting the war go on, and will exhaust the troops--that''s what Al Quiada wants.

So vote for McCain/Palin if you don''t give a *** about the troops or the appalling Military Costs. Vote for them and make Bin Laden and his terrorist fighters happy.

Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961. Hawaii became a state in 1959. He is an American citizen by birth. Once you are an American by birth you don''t lose your citizenship based on who you marry. Some people will believe any vicious lie out there and never bother to check on what the facts are.
