Dead Bear With Obama Signs Left At School

75-Pound Cub Shot To Death And Dumped In Front Of N.C. College Building

(AP)  Police at Western Carolina University and wildlife officials are investigating the discovery of a dead bear cub draped with a pair of Barack Obama campaign signs.

Leila Tvedt, associate vice chancellor for public relations, said that maintenance workers found the 75-pound bear cub shot to death in front of the school's administration building at the entrance to campus early Monday.

The Obama yard signs were stapled together and placed over the bear's head, Tvedt said.

The bear had been shot in the head, Tvedt said.

"Western Carolina University deplores the inappropriate behavior that has led to this troubling incident," Tvedt said. "We cannot speculate on the motives of the people involved nor who those people might be. Campus police are cooperating fully with authorities to investigate this matter."

University police called in state Wildlife Resources officials to remove the body and help in the investigation.

Bear hunting season is under way in western North Carolina.

Alaska Alice, the Race Baiting, Bear Killing progeny of the McCain/Palin campaign. Last seen heading for the ballot boxes to deliver message of evangelical love and brotherhood, sporting tats reading "you betcha" and "no more wealth spreading," clothed in long white hooded robes, clinging to bibles and guns. Police have just released message found inside bear''s plumbing. "McCain''s health plan: Don''t get sick. Spread the Health. Eat more bear. When was the last time you saw a sick bear?"

Seems Republicans have learned dirty tricks from the Democrats.

In 2004, Democrats in North Carolina, were caught
firebombing
the Republican headquarters in Raleigh with molotov cocktails

What''s good for the goose is good for the gander,

Looks like Sarah''s been hunting!!!!!!!!!!!!

(To the theme of the Beverly Hillbillies)

Come listen to a story about a man named McCain
Decided to run for President but forgot to bring his brain.

And then one day he was losing in the polls
So he brought in a woman hoping to smell just like a rose.

Sarah that is, Palin..............Alaskan Governor..........Hockey Mom

Well the next thing you know John''s polls began to rise
But when he thought he had them, there came a big surprise
He thought he could win with just Wright and Bill Ayers
But the economy tanked and the country got the scares.

Stocks plummet.................401k''s gone...........

Well they lost the debates in the view of peoples eyes
There message was off base but they kept spreading lies.
Joe the Plumber, ACORN and Socialism became their main selection
Which ended up costing them this 2008 election.

Bad Choice.................. Stick to the real issues.

This is the kind of insanity one would expect from the masses whipped up into a feeding frenzy by the racist extremist right wing GOP. Their entire message is one of hate and violence not unlike the Third Reich. A note of caution in your hateful lies about Obama; %u201CHe that sows the wind shall reap the whirlwind%u201D. The blood of this poor defenseless creature is on your hands, John McCain and Sarah Palin.

No democrat would ever do this; this is pure republican desecration as championed by the Palin woman. The scum that support the party continue to get lower and lower, even when we think there is no further to go. Personally if those responsible are found and bear trap round the neck a la "Straw Dogs" would be appropriate.

It''s just ridiculous, senseless & plain stupidity to blame Republicans every time something sick & tragic is done by insane & hateful people in this country. This was obviously done by people who hate, period. Who cares and who knows what their political affiliation is. It''s just hate. And people who hate are on both sides of the political fence. Realize that the majority of Republicans are such because they fear a man will become president who was not born in this country, has unanswered questions about his birth and upbringing, and what type of radical regime and hatred he grew up believing in. We don''t know this man. It has nothing to do with his skin color. It has to do with fearing the unanswered questions he refuses to answer. His own grandmother is the one who said he was born in Kenya, and the documents seem to prove it. But not a single person will actually answer that question. Interesting that he''s now paying her a visit all of a sudden. Republicans are smarter people that Democrats. They refuse to believe in the liberal media that feeds them full of baloney in the false name of "change."

To me this comes as no surprise. This is the kind of thing that I would expect from republicans. I think there will be more incidents like this between now and the election. This is the kind of mentality that Palin has been reaching out to for the past few weeks. It is these brain dead redneck gun toting morons who are the easiest to control. They will believe anything she tells them because she is a great hunter and can''t speak english without a stupid accent, wink, wink. She''s "one of them." I went into this election cycle thinking that McCain might be a good pick for the White House based on his reputation as a man who had character. Just shows how wrong a person can be. The conduct of his campaign has been so disappointing that that in itself would make it impossible for me to support him but when he brought in Palin it really sealed the deal. This woman stands for everything that I detest. Plus she is a liar. She hit the ground lying and hasn''t stopped since. People of Alaska, I know you are good people and I feel sorry that you have this disgusting example representing you. I know you are not all like her.
Get rid of her and elect yourselves a decent honorable person as your govenor.

Any what about voter fraud??

Sen McCain has tried to link Sen. Obama to ACORN. We now learn that Sen. McCain has hired the Lincoln Strategy in for purposes of "registering voters." The managing partner of that firm is Nathan Sproul, a renowned GOP operative who has been investigated on multiple occasions for suppressing Democratic voter turnout, throwing away registration forms and even spearheading efforts to get Ralph Nader on ballots to hinder the Democratic ticket.

In other words....Sen. McCain wants to win at all cost. He doesnt care about dignity, honor or the truth. What matters to him is winning.

Do we want another 4 years of this???

I half suspect these were liberals trying to make Republicans look bad. When ever you see this low brow stuff you have to wonder. I think most Republicans are more sophisticated than this but Democrats trying to make Republicans look bad would do this. It wouldn''''t be the first time.

Posted by cbscrash072 at 12:03 PM : Oct 21, 2008

Yes. We have been witnessing the sophisticated prowess of McCain supporters at those rallies. Where McCain supporters heckled early voters and where a man had an Obama sticker around the head of a stuffed monkey and waved it in the crowd until he discovered the msm training a camera on him. then he took the tag off the monkey, handed the stuffed animal to a child and crumpled up the Obama sticker. This bear case sounds similar in so many sick ways--except this was a living animal. we''ve only to listen to the Palin and McCain rallies and the outcries and the robocalls to know just how demented and unsophisticated the GOP has become.

Even traditional conservatives cannot stand the baseness of the GOP base.

Ahem. Let''s say you are right and Obama was born in Kenya. His mother was an American citizen right? that makes Obama a natural born citizen of the US no matter where he is born. He is American because his mother is American. A natural born citizen means of one or both native parents. It is not where a person is born (John was born in Panama) it is WHO you are born to. An unnatural born citizen would be a person who was born and a citizen of another country who became an American by administrative measures. Like through immigration or being sent from another country and sponsored by a spouse or parents who also were not citizens.

The fact that Obama''s grandparents and Mother are from Kansas makes him "natural born". Perhaps the real problem with the GOP is simply not racism but abject ignorance.

textingbabe7.....So now republicans are smarter than democrats? What a dumbarse statement. I''m a democrat and my IQ is in the 130''s but I know there are republicans out there who are more intelligent. There are democrats that are much smarter as well. This kind of post is a perfect example of how to divide the country. I think that truly intelligent people look at this as an issue that is important to us all. If you consider yourself an American, you realize that republican or democrat we are all in this together. What affects one affects all. One of these men will be our new president and we had all better hope that whoever it is can do what needs to be done. I support Obama but if McCain is elected I will do all I can to support him. We desperately need a leader. Someone that we can trust to tell us the truth. Some of that truth is going to hurt but if we stand together we can overcome anything. So here is one stupid democrat who says, AMERICA FIRST! It''s time to stop the hatred and get down to the business of healing our great country.

You can''t speak of "healing" when gangrene has set in. Issues that are allowed to fester become gangrenous. For too long, America has ignored the divisions of race, religion, sexual orientation, class , ethnicity, gender, etc. Talking about healing is like talking about world peace. it is a laudable subject but not going to happen as long as underlying situations are allowed to prevail.

In the case of war, it is the quest for greed, power and domination. In the case of racism/class issues or gender issues, it is the quest for greed, power and domination.

Surprisingly how the imperatives of the one, look eerily like the other. Trying to pretend it is not there or a "let''s all get along" speech will heal that is like putting a bandaid on a rotting limb and thinking just that and a spray of Oust will take care of the problem.

This is wrong. But this election will polarize this country like it hasn''t seen in over 50 years. I am being told by my black co-workers how they are "going to own me" when this is done. And they are threating to riot in the streets if Barry is not elected. Now these are good law abiding Democrats, right? Just like the ones in Raleigh, NC back in 2004, right?

Uhmmm. That would be "than", as in, "Republicans are smarter people THAN Democrats'' (or nix the word ''people'' entirely as redundant and implied) The other line makes no sense. I think you meant to write "They refuse to believe in the liberal media that feeds them full of baloney UNDER THE FALSE PRETENSE of "change."

As to your observation: Yes, we can certainly see why YOU would think Republicans are smarter. Sarah Palin is one of your best and brightest--no doubt you used yourself as the barometer to come to that conclusion.

I actually live in NC and this is absolutely embarrasing. This is a hate crime and a threat of assasination against Barak Obama.

If they were overjoyed by stapling Obama posters on the bear cub then shooting the bear in the head then this is a vile and explosive nature that has no bounds.

It is a very thin line from this event to harming people.

This is a direct result for the inciting rhetoric of Palin/McCain et al.

All this is just more ********* being spread by people who are just trying to throw anything they can think of out there in hopes of scaring the American people. Well, we aren''t afraid.
