Keys, Coldplay Lead AMA Nominations

Alicia Keys and Coldplay lead the nominees for the 2008 American Music Awards.
Keys has five nominations and Coldplay has four. Both are contenders for artist of the year.
Other multiple nominees and artist-of-the-year candidates announced Tuesday include the Eagles and Lil Wayne.
In the country categories, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney and Garth Brooks are duking it out for favorite male artist. The nominees for favorite female country artist are Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Reba McEntire.
Fans can vote for their favorites online.
The American Music Awards will present 20 trophies in pop/rock, country, soul/rhythm & blues and rap/hip-hop, Latin, alternative, contemporary inspirational and adult contemporary.
Additional performers for the event include Rihanna, Ne-Yo, the Pussycat Dolls and New Kids on The Block.
The awards will be presented in Los Angeles on Nov. 23.
