Section Weathering The Downturn In this economy, it's smart to save. CBS News shows you how.
And women report feeling more stress about the economy than men. According to the APA, "More women say they are stressed about money (83 percent vs. 78 percent), the economy (84 percent vs. 75 percent), job stability (57 percent vs. 55 percent), housing costs (66 percent vs. 58 percent) and health problems affecting their families (70 percent vs. 63 percent)."
The APA's executive director, Dr. Katherine Nordal, told Early Show co-anchor Julie Chen Tuesday part of it may simply be that women tend to be more open about their feelings than men.
Nordal, who was in New York, addressed questions from two small business owners who were in the audience in Belmont Mansion, on the campus of Belmont University in Nashville, sight of Tuesday night's presidential debate:

- WOW There are certainly some women haters on here. Let''''s see I have been married for forty years and make a lot more money than my husband. I guess some of you men made bad choices in women. Definitely the women in your life made poor choices in the men they hooked up with.

I am very comfortable with my misogyny. I love telling stories about it. Women can certainly pretend they are not as shallow financially as men are $exually. Some guys might be dumb enough to believe that. Now I am in a strong position to tease women financially the way they teased me $sexually 25 years ago. And it is so much FUN. - Reply to this comment

A matter of perspective.
I always thought the Walton grandchildren were living with the grandparents.
The grandfather built the home on Walton''s Mountain and raised his children who raised their children. I guess the idea is that once you have raised your children the idea is to hurry up and die so the children can inherit your money.
So, what has happened to society in the last 30 years where living like the Waltons has become a bad thing? - Reply to this comment

The bailout with no accountability for the rich who made a fortune at the middle classes expense is unacceptable. I hope the government goes after them all and throws them in prison with the Enron gang.
Remember Republicans that George W was a close friend of Kenny Lay''s. Also remember that Cheney''s Halliburton has robbed us blind. I hope we all remember those things when we vote in November. - Reply to this comment
- When you see a woman who looks anxious, it''s because she''s afraid her boyfriend/husband isn''t giving her all his money FAST ENOUGH.

Yes! Vote them ALL out. - Reply to this comment
And why shouldn''t the middle and lower class be stressed out?
The "bailout" is on their backs, it is who are going to pay for it. Now, the money will be given to the very people who created this disgraceful economic situtation. That those people will have the power to distribute those $700 billion dollars stresses me out even further.
It is the middle and lower economic class that will paying for this for decades while the rich who caused it laugh their way to the bank.
Like Richard Fuld who took $480 million home knowing that the bubble was about to burst and that thousands upon thousands of retirees would lose most of their retirement money.
Or, those at Goldman Sachs who took tens of millions and even a spa retreat to the tune of $400,000 while they knew the company was on the slide down.
If you don''t see something wrong here, you are part of the problem.
Stressed, you betcha.
Angry, you betcha.
