A look at the life and meteoric rise of the president-elect.

(AP)  The Republican National Committee plans to file a fundraising complaint against Democrat Barack Obama's presidential campaign Monday, alleging it has accepted donations that exceed federal limits as well as illegal contributions from foreigners.

RNC officials acknowledged Sunday that they do not have a list of foreign donors to Obama's campaign. Instead, the complaint is based largely on media reports, including one from the conservative Web site Newsmax.

The complaint asks the Federal Elections Commission to audit Obama's campaign fund, RNC chief counsel Sean Cairncross said in a conference call with reporters.

Cairncross said little is known about many of Obama's donors because the campaign is not required to disclose detailed information about people who give less than $200.

The Obama campaign, which is not accepting public funds, has raised more than $468 million. About half has come from small donors, a point of pride for the Obama campaign.

The Obama campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

I think this is bogus. By CBS''s own story, we know that it is possible for determined people to trick the computer system and that it takes time to weed them out with so many donations. It would be very easy for unscrupulous people--or the RNC--to intentionally insert illegal donations and then ask for an investigation before they can be found. This is the kind of stuff they do every election cycle! And it''s a little too cute that McCain and Palin are blasting away trying to make Obama sound like a terrorist, which is ridiculous, and almost at the exact same time the RNC asks for investigation about
"FOREIGN" donations. This has a smell about it. As we all know, the Republicans are always looking for an October surprise and they aren''t above manufacturing their own. CBS doesn''t have to help them with their dumb gotcha of two over max donations. CBS put investigative journalists on this? These were obviously people who filled in all the spaces and tried to fool the computer system with two of these among millions of transactions.

The FEC sent a letter to Sen. John McCain''s campaign treasurer Sept. 30 demanding the candidate turn over more information about "contributions that appear to exceed the limits."

"......The letter is accompanied by a nine-page list showing scores of overages from McCain''s August campaign finance report, including nearly $13,000 from Texas rancher Ray R. Barrett Jr.; $9,200 from an Iraqi security consultant, H. Carter Andress; and $5,000 from Joseph F. Davolio, an executive at a major national liquor, beer and wine distributor......"

It is interesting to see why Mccain''s campaign is in trouble for funding, especially where some of it came from:

When the story broke, McCain did nothing to help himself. ''You''re a liar,'' McCain said

when asked about the investments. He challenged reporters saying, ''It''s up to you to find that out, kids......

When I was a kid, my mum drug me to church and exposed me to the christians. After reading the bible, I became an atheist. I could care less what religion candidates are, as long as they keep their beliefs out of the government.

This is the first time in American history a %u201Cnaturalized%u201D citizen and/or illegal alien has been allowed to campaign for the Office of President of the United States. The FEC and Democratic National Committee have refused to verify and furnish Obama%u2019s eligibility. All that has been provided is a copy of a %u201Ccertification of birth%u201D which can be easily made up by anyone. Mr. Obama has NOT and does NOT plan to give any evidence to the American public---he has hired 3 lawyers to fight the suit. The power of a dictator!
