The Perils Of Thin Being In
(CBS)
From the cast of "90210" to "Desperate Housewives" and the doctors of "Grey's Anatomy," Hollywood's super-skinny stars may be setting a bad example.
While getting ready for the red carpet can mean dieting enough to squeeze into a size zero, even by Hollywood standards, the stars of the new "90210" seem super skinny.
In hopes of raising awareness of the potential pitfalls of unsafe weight loss, some actresses are sharing the stories of their struggles with eating disorders.
Whether it's Nicole Richie or Tracey Gold, they are openly talking about it, which in turn is helping girls.
Actress Tracey Gold who played Carol Seaver on "Growing Pains," was one of the first celebrities to speak publicly about her battle with anorexia.
Gold joined the Early Show from Los Angeles along with psychologist Dr. Jen Berman to share some insight with Early Show co-anchor Julie Chen on the difficult subject that plagues the entertainment industry. Click on the play button below to see the full segment.
