Weird events, odd people and more peculiar happenings.
Briana Lin Pouncy was arrested Thursday afternoon at the couple's apartment, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported on its Web site.
Joseph Boykins, 21, told police that he and Pouncy had become involved in an argument because Pouncy was upset that the dishes were not clean. She told Boykins to leave the apartment, which he refused to do, police Lt. Paul Henderson said.
Henderson said the woman then tried to physically remove Boykins. During the ensuing struggle, Henderson said, Pouncy bit Boykins' right shoulder and broke a picture frame across his face, causing visible cuts.
The woman then grabbed an approximately 2-foot sword and swung it at Boykins, missing him, police said.
Pouncy was released from a Mansfield jail after posting a $10,000 bond, jail officials said.
Henderson said Pouncy and Boykins had lived together for four months.

I feel for this guy. Been there, done that. You wash the dishes like a good hubby. Then she screams at you because you didn''t clear off the dining table. Well, the dishwasher was full from the dishes in the sink, there wasn''t room to clear the table. But OK, next time you wash the dishes AND clear off the table.
Then she screams at you that you didn''t vacuum the carpet. So next time you do that, too. Then she screams at you that you didn''t fold the laundry (which YOU did). So next time you do that, too. Then she screams at you...
So finally you say "SCREW this. If she''s gonna scream no matter what I do, I''m not doing anything. What''s she gonna do - SCREAM AT ME?"
Then you notice, she isn''t contributing ONE DIME of her pay to support the family, that''s "her money." YOU have to pay all the bills, because that''s the MAN''S job. EVEN IF SHE''S MAKING MORE THAN YOU DO.
Then you say "If I have to pay all the bills, don''t expect me to do the housework."
Then she takes out a sword, or a knife from the kitchen, and she STABS YOU.
BEEN THERE - DONE THAT.
What is WITH women???
Injustice, no man would be free on 10,000 bail.

We have, in our society, an entire generation of people who know, in their hearts, that they are entitled to everything.
It is a totally, self-centered, spoiled brat, attitude which is fostered by television, movies, magazines, and a notion that everyone should receive the American Dream without actually having to earn it. Oh my, did I just describe Obama''s plan for taking care of everyone in America?
It isn''t just women who think life owes them, young men have the same sense of entitlement.
I don''t relate to that attitude. I grew up in a pioneer house, I raised my childen on my own on a grand total of $600 per year child support, I earned my University degree while working to support my family, and I cared for my ailing mother for almost 25 years. The point is, that not all women are as you described in your post.
I would have greatly appreciated having someone in my life who earned money, and who was a partner to help out with anything. I used to hate men, then I realized that not all men were like my ex. Don''t assume that all women are like your ex.
Geesh, is this your woman??? I''d say it''s time to kick her to the curb!!
I wouldn''t allow this from a man and certainly this is just as unacceptable from this looney, unbalanced woman. What is wrong when the judicial system allows this behavior to continue? I say she needs some serious adjustments from the inside of a prison.
On the bright-side: Her new boyfriend will be the fencing-instructor and will run her through 4 months later.

You are absolutely RIGHT ON with your comments. This describes the new generation EXACTLY.
And I told only half about my wife. It''s even worse, but I''d run out of space if I told everything.
Sounds like you were raised in the "old ways," the same as I was. Those ways have died out.
The new generation is just a pack of wild animals and barbarians. We are in BIG trouble in this country.

Blah, blah, blah, waa waa waa. NOTHING justifies violence, especially violence with a weapon, unless he was physically attacking her first. There is NO indication that he did ANYTHING of the kind.
The fact that you''re willing to JUSTIFY and EXCUSE the woman''s violent behavior IS FURTHER PROOF OF HOW FAR OUR SOCIETY HAS GONE WRONG.
Now watch - her lawyer will claim it was "self defense," even though NO MARKS WERE FOUND ON HER at the time of her arrest.

Then the sword attack would be called "justifiable self-defense" and HE''D be the one in jail.
I''ve discovered that our legal system is HEAVILY biased in favor of the woman. Men had better tread lightly - and have a GOOD lawyer - if they hope for justice.

What?
He works and she doesn''t and he''s supposed to clean, wash clothes, etc?
You appear to suffer from the "queen" syndrome.....
15 -20 years in the state pen! Ya can''t attack other people!
If you do not know what the above is, I''ll tell you later.

My wife and I made a deal when we first got married. If only one works (has an income) then the other is responsible for the house, if both are working, then we share. Works for us.
Oh, and D.N.D.D.N.M.D?
Did not do dishes? Now must Die!!

Well those of us women who don''t just stay at home and expect our men to be the "bread winners" actually split the chores... I don''t do the dishes and household chores all on my own. That''s a ridiculous comment and you are obivously walked all over and controlled.
What?, we can''t have a story that''s light hearted (somewhat) and be able to post light hearted comments on? We can''t be serious all the time.
Like they say, All work and no play, makes Johny a dull boy!
And besides, there''s plemty of room on this site to post most stories. And what''s nice with this story, nobody was seriously hurt, killed, maimed,,etc etc.
Of course the woman in this story probably wishes for a better outcome, but hey, she swung 1st! Apparently.
Lighten up dude!

Thats shameful! When you pick your children up at daycare do they scream "Mommy mommy they are taking me away again"?
AGREED! Whats wrong with some guys that they cant just do what their told, and shut their yaps? She put up with this jerquewad for four months, and thats four months TOO LONG!
Joseph Boykins needs to GROW UP, learn how to do his chores, spend a little time in JAIL, apologise, and pay the Forth Worth Police the cost of their time to have to put up with this 21-year-old juvenile!
Does anyone else get the irony??
