Obama Plans Lunch Date With Bill Clinton

(AP)  Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama plans to lunch with former President Clinton this week in what will be their first extended face-to-face meeting since the bitter primary season.

Obama intends to meet Mr. Clinton for a private lunch Thursday at the Clinton Foundation headquarters in New York City, Obama spokesman Bill Burton said Sunday. Obama will be in New York that morning for a memorial ceremony at Ground Zero, where he will appear with Republican presidential rival John McCain to commemorate the seventh anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.

Mr. Clinton extended the invitation after he learned Obama would be in town, Burton said.

Relations between the former president and Obama have been somewhat strained following the heated primary season, in which Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton also sought the presidential nomination. During that time, Bill Clinton repeatedly questioned whether Obama had enough experience to be president compared with his wife.

During his speech at the Democratic National Convention last month, Bill Clinton expressed strong support for Obama's candidacy and made clear he will do what he can to get him elected.

I thought Dem did not vote for Hillary because they did not want Bill Clinton to drop by or to peek in. What is the matter now? Obama changed mind again.

Obama used racism to falsely smear the Clintons. His campaign bullied & committed fraud against Democrats across the country, including many blacks and elderly people.

Barack passed over Hillary when he could have united the Party, and now wants to talk with the Clintons since he''s dipping in the polls.

Obama has stepped on many good people to get to the top. What a user!

Listen...everyone knew Obama was black from the very start. The reason he isn''t doing so well now is because the more people find out about him the less people like him. So don''t go playing the race card...it holds no merit.

I hope Bill Clinton gets Obama on his turf and decks his behind! The sniveling little weenie Obama needs to learn how to win an election without scamming, and racism!

ROFL!

I would trust Palin to make a much wiser decision over Obama or Biden any old day of the week!
