Some key moments in N.Y. Gov. Eliot Spitzer's personal and political tragedy

(AP)  The last of four defendants charged in the prostitution scandal that brought down former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer pleaded guilty Monday to arranging trysts between high-priced escorts and clients.

Tanya Robin Hollander, 36, of Rhinebeck, N.Y., admitted she conspired to violate the travel act, which prohibits crossing state lines to further an illegal business.

Hollander, who worked as a booker for the Emperors Club VIP, told the court she began looking for work early last year to supplement her job as a holistic health counselor.

She said she began working for the service in June 2007, arranging dates between hookers and customers at various locations in the United States and Europe.

U.S. District Court Judge Deborah A. Batts asked Hollander if she knew what she was doing was against the law. "It became apparent," Hollander said.

With the plea, she became the last of four club employees arrested in March to admit a role in the illicit business. Prosecutors haven't revealed whether Spitzer will be charged in the probe that began last summer after a series of suspicious banking transactions.

Spitzer resigned March 12 after he was identified as "Client-9," whose meeting with a prostitute known as "Kristen" in a Washington, D.C., hotel the night before Valentine's Day was outlined in an affidavit filed in connection with the case.

In June, Emperors Club VIP operator Mark Brener, 62, of Cliffside Park, N.J., pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit a prostitution offense and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

That same month Brener's former girlfriend, 23-year-old Cecil Suwal, pleaded guilty to money laundering, conspiracy and conspiring to promote prostitution, admitting her role as a manager of the company.

In May, Temeka Lewis, a booking agent for the escort service, pleaded guilty to promoting prostitution and money laundering.

All three are awaiting sentencing.

Hollander does not have a cooperating agreement with the U.S. attorney's office, and faces up to five years in prison.

Her lawyer, Michael Farkas, called Hollander "a good and decent person" who played a minor role in the scandal.

She is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 25, and remains free on personal recognizance bond.

Women have a lot of fun depriving men of consistent boom boom. They like the power of knowing he wants it and isn''t going to get it, even if he has married her and makes the minimum payments on all her maxed out credit cards. But when an opportunity comes along for him to pay some money to a high quality professional to get guaranteed boom boom, why not?? If he was getting plenty at home, he wouldn''t need a Plan B. But she at home is having too much fun depriving. He tries it and enjoys it. Likes the thrill of knowing he is beating his wife at her own game. Too bad he has to pay for two. One is worth it and one who isn''t.

And just like the "war" on drugs, the war on prostitution takes another giant leap forward. I''m so glad the Government is looking out for my morales. Instead of wasting all this money on prosecuting something that is going to happen NO MATTER what laws are past we should be investing in making the practice safe (for everyone, male and female) and providing education and training for those who want out of the trade.

Additionally all but the most dangerous drugs should be legal for anyone over 18. If the government controlled it we''d save billions on law enforcement and make billions in taxes (again people are going to do it no matter what, did we learn nothing from prohibition!)

Another total waste of tax dollars! This conviction on these people is going to stop interstate prostitution right?I am positive it only ignited others who at first didn''t know how too do this.Since it has been spelled out on the web,and the news the lost are no longer lost. They have a mapped out way to increase business, thinks to Gov.Spitzer''s little escapade. What a moron, that is like when Jerry Springer wrote a check to a hooker, when he was Mayor.

"Emperors Club VIP operator Mark Brener, 62, of Cliffside Park, N.J."

Let me guess...the neighbors said: "He has a nice house, nice family, he''s a registered Republican...it is a shock!"

Men get tired of sticking it in the same women''s holes night after night after night. You want to eat chicken for dinner for the rest of your life?

Ever man over 21 should be assigned a s e x slave who will do whatever they want. Make things so much easier. Most women don''t want to be bothered. If women had the same s e x drive as men then they''d be able to relate instead of getting on their high horse about willpower, morality & monogamy.
