Fashion Tour: Madonna
At 50, the Material Girl still dresses to her own beat
The pop icon kicked off her "Sticky and Sweet" tour in the U.K. and has everyone talking, not only about her amazing physique, but about her politics.
As if her wardrobes and dance moves weren't racy enough to grab her fans' attention, she had images of presidential hopeful John McCain alongside Adolf Hitler and Robert Mugabe while on the other hand, comparing presidential hopeful Barack Obama to John Lennon and Mahatma Gandhi, reported Early Show co-anchor Julie Chen.
According to USATODAY, images of destruction and global warming flashed on a screen during a video interlude, which were followed by the images of McCain and Obama.
"Once the interlude was over, Madonna threw herself into a rave-inflected rendition of "Like a Prayer." She finished off the concert with her thumping "Give it 2 Me" from her new album Hard Candy," USATODAY, reported.
"She's never been known for her subtlety," said Early Show correspondent Maggie Rodriguez. "So, I can't say I'm that surprised."
"But I can speak to the in-shape part …," Early Show co-anchor Harry Smith chimed in. "Because the pictures of her look amazing. And we live in the same apartment building. I saw personal trainers coming in a lot this summer. In one of the rooms in her apartment, she was apparently rehearsing in there because some of the neighbors were complaining to me about the noise. So she's in good shape."
The queen of pop could have just endorsed Obama in an interview or by making a public statement, but that wouldn't capture the true spirit of Madonna, who thrives on shock value.

It''s in part giving McCain some of his own medicine for his ad flashing images of Briney Spears and Paris Hilton in order to label Obama as nothing more than a celebrity. She''s also going after the media for what they do to Bash the lives of female celebrities and female politicians, i.e., Hillary. The cameo of Britney trapped in an elevator speaks to the female celebrity bashing and harassment.
Come on, is it ok for EVERYONE to express themselves (without grabbing one''s cr*&*h)??

No Sparky! I''ve read a LOT of your post and you are as FASCIST as they come... NO DOUBT ABOUT IT! Anyone NOT agreeing with the Party or the Fuhrer is automatically put in the "Lib" Box to hate. THAT is TEXT BOOK Fascist... NO DOUBT ABOUT IT. Now lets show folks out there how this is done. SIEG HEIL!! Very good!!
Or for her intelligence for that matter. Who cares what she thinks - she probably won''t even vote in any case.
All I know is, she''s reveling in the fine art of...
reverse psychology.
There''s a fine line between getting peoples'' attention and being trash just to get peoples'' reactions. I''m sorry society wants to idolize her. She''d be better off as a comedienne. Her antics are a repetitive joke.
1. Does that mean she married to Michael Jackson?
2. Now I read in previous news articles that Britney was the queen of pop. In which case why wouldn''t Michael marry her? I mean, she''s almost sufficiently young enough...
Comparing McCain to Hitler-a stretch it would seem, but only an intellectual could possibly grasp the similarities.
Take McCain. He''s just another old fatass from the south, and like Bush could never truly love and respect the people of this country-women, *** and lesbians, lower class families, hispanics and african americans-he represents an old and deadbeat social niche.
If it were not for laws and the way the world is now connected, I honestly would not be surprised to see people like McCain use force and violence to rid this country of the people he fears. We see it in hate crimes and hangings and mobs on an individual basis around the world, and even in the US.
It''s typical even in Jamaica for church groups to harass and beat down people of the GLBT community.
The times have changed, but the spirit and delusion people like McCain and Hitler exist in have not.
Unlike all these conforming blonde bimbos in Hollywood that bend over to societies definition of what a female and a female celebrity can and cannot, madonna stands alone as being the only one to take a risk by saying or doing something that provokes thought and discussion, which is obviously something many people fear.
I think it''s so very ironic that the media attacks her for what she does-she being the only female doing what she does, when men do it all the time.
For example, it''s still jabbed at her that she''d used to grab her *** during concerts, yet somehow it''s alright for the male musicians-like Michael jackson-to grab himself. Their never criticized.
In comparing McCain to Hitler, Madonna did nothing more than demonstrate that they both stand for the degradation of the human spirit, and represent a turning back on our social evolution. They may be different in what they do or what they''d be able to do, but they both fear certain groups of people based out of fear and prejudice. The only difference being that if McCain attempted to wipe anybody out, he''d be imprisoned.
And in another ironic twist, McCain is known for his anger control problem when it comes to dealing with people that don''t agree with him.
But whatever, at least Madonna''s willing to say something.
If you really want people to believe you''re an independent and not the Bushite troll you clearly are, you should pick a neutral screen name, not one making fun of Obama''s name.
Bushit!
Throw away all those Madonna pictures you have under your bed and try to pull yourself together man.
Where has madonna lived the past decade or so???? Oh yea, Europe.
Nothing was done to Bush and Cheney.....
Who do you think you''re fooling? On what basic level is Cheney in touch with regular working Americans? Yet, you seem not to have an issue with YOUR leadership being fat, elite, and privilaged.
What did Robin Williams say of Bush? Some men are born to greatness, some men acheive greatness, some men have greatness handed to them as a graduation present.
Not all of us got caught in the Dumbing Down of America, Xlib. :)
