(CBS/AP)  Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, hoping to unite the Democratic Party and cement her future in it, will gather her hard-won primary delegates Wednesday at a reception where she is expected to formally release them to Barack Obama, CBS News confirms.

Clinton has invited her pledged delegates to a reception at the Colorado Convention Center, not far from the main Democratic National Convention arena.

The high-profile gathering of political regulars who once fought against Obama serves a dual purpose for Clinton: Show fellow Democrats that she can be a team player, and display her still formidable political strengths for the future. Many of her supporters want her to run for president again.

A Democratic official told CBS News Sunday, a day before the convention begins, that she is expected to release her delegates at the Wednesday event. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to discuss details publicly.

Asked about Clinton's plans for the event, her spokesman Philippe Reines said it will be "an opportunity for Senator Clinton to see her delegates - many for the first time since the primaries ended, thank them for their hard work and support, and most importantly to encourage them to support and work for Senator Obama as strongly as she has in order to elect him in November."

The New York senator has support among key voting groups that Obama has yet to win over, particularly women, older voters, and working-class voters.

Coming into the convention, many Democrats have wondered exactly how and when Clinton would throw her delegates to Obama, and if that would be a messy, contentious affair.

Republicans are already trying to take advantage of such potential fissures.

John McCain's campaign launched a television ad suggesting rival Barack Obama snubbed Clinton because of her criticism during the Democratic primary fight.

The ad features clips of Clinton, including one in which she accused him of negative campaigning, and a voiceover announcer says: "She won millions of votes but isn't on the ticket. Why? For speaking the truth."

Clinton aides responded that she clearly supports Obama and agrees with him on important issues like health care and the Iraq war, and doesn't agree with McCain on those issues.

Wonder if Obama%u2019s plane failure a couple of weeks ago was a cover up of his involvement in the general tampering of opponents%u2019 planes during this election season? Does he have another "tampering" attempt scheduled for this Sunday when opponent%u2019s plane is scheduled to fly from NY/NJ area to Madison, Wisconsin??? hmmmm....

Is Ted Kennedy''s malignant brain tumor a fraud and orchestrated attempt to distract from his real legacy which is his 1968/69 Chappaquidic ***/murder scandal? Because he does not appear to have chemo and radiation side effects such as weight loss due to loss of appetite, jauntice, etc.

Wonder if Gore will steal the nomination on Thursday night when he speaks before Obama? Does he have about 100 super delegates'' support to deter others from nomination? And take advantage of political discontent, chaos and confusion of primaries? As multi-millionaire, will he privatize US governments'' programs, infrastructure and jobs for big profit$$$?

Since Obama''s job was to rid of Hillary, will he be rid of too via his own generated *** and financial scandals? There is a term called "down load" in the black community for professionals who have gay *** on the side despite being married with children and have respectable daytime jobs. Larry Sinclair has come forward with such claims with Obama since November 1999. Google "barack obama is a closet homosexual," or "Video: Pastor Manning Says Obama is Homosexual & Crack Addict for ...," or "Digg - Is Larry Sinclair Obama''s dark secret," etc.

Since 1880''s the traditional democratic roll call procedure has nominated all candidates running and it should continue on Wednesday. Otherwise it leaves an undeniable impression that process is stolen if not already since Pelosi and Dean orchestrated MI and FLA votes in favor of Obama since summer of 2007.

Isn''t releasing her delegates the quid pro quo for Obama''s folks paying off her campaign debt?

If she would just tell her people that their votes were bought months ago I''m sure they''d understand and just move on.

Wait until the Obamabots boo Hillary off the stage at the convention and see why her supporters are so angry.

McCain the ANTI-MAVERICK most status quo Republican in history whose entire campaign is based on smoke and mirrors to distract everyone from his distortions and lies. Just like Nixon during Watergate -- distortions and lies disguised with smoke and mirrors. Mccain stands for "Country First"? NO WAY this campaign is and always has been ME FIRST. Or as the Republicans like to explain it; John McCain has waited long enough (and been a good puppet of the party bosses) so it is now his turn to run for President.

Many in the Democratic Party hate the Clintons and are jealous of them.

*********************************************************And some hate them because of their arrogance and their hatefulness if you don''t play their game. Some hate her for the vicious way she tried to destroy another Democrats campaign. Some hate her for working so hard to convince her gullible supporters that she should be the nominee but that it was stolen from her by a young uppity black guy.
Some hate her because of the way she teamed up with the Rabid right wingers to divide the Democratic party so she could win.
Some hate her because it always has to be about Hillary, and like they say Hillary will always be there, WHEN SHE NEEDS YOU.

That, in essence, is the McCain campaign''s pitch to supporters to join its new online effort, one that combines the features of "AstroTurf" campaigning with the sort of customer-loyalty programs offered by airlines, hotel chains, restaurants and the occasional daily newspaper.
On McCain''s Web site, visitors are invited to "Spread the Word" about the presumptive Republican nominee by sending campaign-supplied comments to blogs and Web sites under the visitor''s screen name. The site offers sample comments ("John McCain has a comprehensive economic plan . . .") and a list of dozens of suggested destinations, conveniently broken down into "conservative," "liberal," "moderate" and "other" categories. Just cut and paste."

BUT HILLARY''S DELEGATES CAN AND WILL VOTE FOR HER.

Hillary''s supporters understand that she has a gun to her head.

Hillary''s supporters understand that Nancy Pelosi and Howard Dean ran a corrupt process that secured the nomination for Obama.

Hillary''s supporters understand that the only way to stop the corruption is to vote Democrat if Hillary Clinton is at the top of the ticket.

Hillary''s supporters understand that the only way the Democrats will win in November is if Hillary is Democratic Nominee.

We will support Hillary all the way to the
White House.
