How Does Your School Stack Up?

(CBS)  For the first time since 1996, Harvard University rose to the top of the U.S. News & World Report's best-college ranking. Princeton University ranked second this year, after holding the top spot for three years.

The U.S. News rankings are based on student test scores, selectivity, graduate employment and other factors. You can see all of U.S. News' rankings here, or check out the abridged list of best national universities below. Please note that many schools tied for rankings (such as MIT and Stanford for the No. 4 spot), and the ranking numbers reflect that.

Larryrand...Not a surprise that Harvard, Princeton, Yale, graduates have a leading part in the mortgage meltdown, runaway energy prices, and the worst economic downturn in many years. Only very smart people can deceive the public, government and financial institutions, then have the Gov bail them out..while they make millions. Where do yo think they learned enough to do all this and all the while feeling superior to us dummy''s? Also they likely got all their education from scholarships, grants and other incentives given the mentally elite and paid for by us dummy''s. A Sucker is born every minute? PT Barnum should have said every second--then said "never give a sucker an even break". We suckers just keep lapping up the D.C. milk. ssj.
