Grandma Busted For Driving With Kid On Car
54-Year-Old Florida Woman Says She Was Only Letting Granddaughter Have Fun
-
Section Strange News Weird events, odd people and more peculiar happenings.
Monroe County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to the Publix store Tuesday and arrested 54-year-old Brenda Bouschet after she was driving around with her three-year-old granddaughter on the roof of her car.
Bouschet was released from jail 15 hours later.
Bouschet said Thursday she would never let anything hurt her granddaughter. She says she was driving at "snail-speed" and holding the child's leg.
Authorities say Bouschet told police she was giving the child some air and letting her have fun.
She faces charges of child abuse. The child is back with her mother.

- I''''d lay odds that those guys on jackarse, as you so rightly name it, are republicans. They''''re too stupid to be liberals.

- Story reminds me of one told me years ago about my Uncle having to sit on the front fender of Grandpa''s Model T to direct his steering by saying "left" or "right" going down the road because the fog was so thick. Did pretty good till he messed up in what he meant to say. He told Grandpa to go left,..Left,...LEFT! He meant to say "right". Put it right in the ditch with him on the fender. The walk the rest of the way home "left" him thoroughly, through Grandpa''s colorful verbal communication abilities, unconfused about giving him the "right" directions :)

- A friend of mine who had a 17 year old son riding in back of pickup truck. The driver was not paying attention, ran off the road and a stop sign decapitated my friends 17 year old son. A vehicle is never a toy. Adults are supposed to use common sense.

- Anybody with a brain would have duct taped one of those kiddie chairs to the roof and then strapped the kid in nice and securely.
I wonder if immigrants had something to do with this. She was driving a Lexus! Maybe this is another reason to send ''them'' back to where they came from. - Reply to this comment
- i''d have to see the circumstances but all i know as a kid we rode around in open jeeps and standing up in pick-up truck beds through fields and it has a blast city kids can''t imagine.. guess what, we hung on and no one ever got hurt.

- Is it just me or are people becoming more nuts than ever? It seems that common sense has become a bit of a rarity.

- What on earth was grandma thinking? Even a small bump from another car could have sent this child through the air and onto the ground. This is absurd for anyone, especially and adult who suppoedly went to drivers ed once in her life.

- What does "shuddup" mean? Do you mean "Shut Up" and just have spelling difficulties? We are raising a society that can''t spell and think driving while a three year old sits on a car is okay. Whether or not the child was hurt it is still not okay to do, never has been, never will be. But if the kid was to have fallen the parents would have probably sued the grocery store.
