Check out the latest campaign ads in the race for the White House.

(AP)  Attention, America: Paris has spoken. Paris Hilton, the blonde, doe-eyed celebrity thrust into the presidential campaign in an ad by Republican candidate John McCain, issued a tart rebuttal Tuesday, albeit in a scantily clad, tongue-in-cheek kind of way.

Last week, McCain launched an ad comparing Democratic rival Barack Obama to Hilton and Britney Spears, suggesting Obama was no more than a celebrity candidate unready to lead the nation.

Hilton initially shied away from the debate over the ad and its effectiveness. But she responded Tuesday with a spoof on the comedy Web site Funny or Die.

"Hey America, I'm Paris Hilton and I'm a celebrity, too. Only I'm not from the olden days and I'm not promising change like that other guy. I'm just hot," Hilton said, speaking as she reclined in a pool chair in a revealing bathing suit and a pair of pumps. "But then that wrinkly, white-haired guy used me in his campaign ad, which I guess means I'm running for president. So thanks for the endorsement white-haired dude."

"I want America to know that I'm, like, totally ready to lead," she said.

She then discusses energy policy, and suggests a hybrid of McCain's offshore oil drilling plan and Obama's incentives for new energy technology.

"Energy crisis solved! I'll see you at the debates," she said.

McCain campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds said Hilton appears to support his candidate's "all of the above" energy solution.

"Paris Hilton might not be as big a celebrity as Barack Obama, but she obviously has a better energy plan," Bounds said.

The 24-year-old heiress memorized her entire monologue for the video spoof, Funny or Die's content director said.

Co-founder Adam McKay came up with the concept for the mock ad starring Hilton, which has received over 3 million views since it was posted Tuesday.

"Adam thought it would be really funny to get Paris to respond to the John McCain ad that featured her," Funny or Die content director Amy Rhodes told The Associated Press on Wednesday. "Adam contacted Paris directly, and she agreed to do it. He wrote the sketch. And she really, really loved it."

Rhodes said Hilton was not compensated for appearing in the video "because she decided she just wanted to do it for fun."

Hilton's mother, who with her husband donated $4,600 to McCain's campaign earlier in the year, has said McCain's ad is "a complete waste of the country's time and attention at the very moment when millions of people are losing their homes and their jobs."

McCain's ad uses footage of Obama's reception by Germans during a recent trip to Berlin to dismiss him as just another celebrity. Obama's campaign has criticized the ad; McCain has defended it as humorous.

Hilton's rebuttal includes plenty of humor at McCain's expense.

An announcer calls him "the oldest celebrity in the world, like super-old, old enough to remember when dancing was a sin and beer was served in a bucket," and asks, "but is he ready to lead?" Hilton's spoof also intersperses images of McCain and Yoda from Star Wars and the cast of television's "The Golden Girls."

Wrinkly white-haired guy, OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paris, honey, don''t EVER change!

This is better than Comedy Central. It''s important for me to get a "humor fix" every day . . . . . .

It keeps me from wanting to scream hysterically and run into the street, based on how messed up the world has become. :)

It has been learned that Barack Obama has seen the Paris Hilton video and has added her name to his list of possibles for VP!

Obama has reasoned that Hilton would be a HUGE "BUMP" to his campaign and would DEFINITELY appeal to the young voters, especially males! Because of the comments she made on her video about "that wrinkly, white haired old man", Obama is convinced she would add much needed vitality to his campaign and has shown more fight than the people running his campaign!

Besides, since it has been rumored that McCain has Paula Abdul on his list of VP possibilities, Obama reasons the campaign will boil down to a race between VP''s; a "hot" blonde, or a "ditzy" brunette!

This is politics???????

SIG HEIL, BUSH!!!!!!
sig heil, ABSOLUTELY MORE OF THE SAME, "DRRRRILLLLL" McCain!!!!!!

Paris is ready to debate McCain. She''s more on his level and that would be a debate that McCain might win.

Obama has gotten totally under McCain''s skin to the point that he an''t talk about his own plans for America.

Paris has a better energy plan than Obama? Maybe. She also has a better energy plan than you, wrinkled old white guy. Even Paris is smart enough to know that drilling and nuclear isn''t enough.

McCain & Obama have both flipped on drilling. McCain needs to flip on his resistance to any energy solution that doesn''t degrade the environment and enrich his oil industry benefactors.

Hysterical. Not only does Paris Hilton display a sense of humor, she actually demonstrated a grasp of the issues which John McCain seems unable to do. Her video was an excellent "back at ya" moment. Good job Paris. What I love is that many in the public don''t understand that the Paris Hilton public persona is just that. A character. This young lady is actually quite smart, eloquent, and very capable of holding her own.

I find it beyond laughable that John McCain''s people would use the family member of one of their donors to mock their opponent. Senator Obama actually made a great point on Tuesday. These people (Republicans) take pride in being ignorant.

Great job Paris. Love the video.

What does that have to do with Paris injecting a little humor in to the campaign at the expense of that wrinkly, white-haired guy?

I don''t know why people think this girl is "hot"

Just because you attache blonde extensions to an infant''s dirty rattler doesn''t make a girl hot.

The girl has long weird looking toes and her face is not all that appealing.

So how dare the McCain camp put out this type of trash by juxtaposing a bunch silly white girls with an eloquent and intelligent candidate for the President of the United States of America?

And why is she famous?...for making *** tapes?

Give me a break, I wish these people would just disappear.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
This is exactly the level that McCain needs this campaign to be on.
No Republican would ever be voted into office if the public understood their policy plans. That is why they have to do whatever they can to take the attention away from that.

McCain is the juvenile sitting in the back of the class, jealously, throwing spitballs at the smart kids in front.

Obama can''''t get a significant lead in the polls. After all the media hoopla, and his "messiah" persona, he can''''t break 50%, and in one poll was actually behind McCain. John Kerry was actually doing far better against Bush in 2004 at this point in time.

It''s time we went outside Washington, got someone who could actually Speak the English Language, someone who can get our friends back and put this nation back where it belongs, out front, the LEADER of the Free World. Very entertaining. I agree with her; she''s a celebrity, unlike Obama who is treated like one and who isn''t one. I don''t see this as a slam against McCain; more like a bit of political fun. Too bad the Obama types have their shorts all bunched up over this humorous political respite, albeit tinged with truth. Ah, there''s the rub; truth isn''t something the Obama types can handle and they''re so up tight and full of themselves.

The entire commercial was a nod to her celebrity but she and her dumb azz mother are too stupid to put two and two together...so let''s show the world how to really waste money...that''s hot. Can''t change the fact their money went to McCain, but let''s really show our azzes now...which is what we really do best anyway. But hey...they''ve found a way to make money even with their total lack of talent...that''s called free enterprise, people.
