Gotti Indicted On Charges Of Murder, Drugs

(CBS/AP)  Federal authorities in Tampa have indicted John (Junior) Gotti on conspiracy charges linking him to cocaine trafficking and three slayings in New York.

Federal prosecutor Robert O'Neill announced the indictment of the 44-year-old Gotti and five other men at a news conference this morning.

Gotti - the son of the late Gambino family crime boss John Gotti - is expected to appear later today in Manhattan federal court.

O'Neill said the slayings occurred in 1988, 1990 and 1991.

If convicted, Gotti faces life in prison.

Gotti was nabbed Tuesday morning in New York at his Oyster Bay, Long Island home, CBS Station WCBS-TV reported.

He will be arraigned later Tuesday from Lower Manhattan, law enforcements said.

Gotti was tried three times in Manhattan on racketeering charges for an alleged plot to kidnap Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa.

The trials in 2005 and 2006 ended in hung juries and mistrials, and federal prosecutors announced a year ago that they were giving up.

A call to Gotti's attorney was not immediately returned.

The Feds should just whack him and save the taxpayers a lot of money. The Bush administration has no problem taking away regular peoples rights... why not whack mobsters?

it''s because the mob and the republican christian party are both criminal organizations and they help each other. The governor of mississippi is about to commute a life sentence to a man who stalked and murdered his wife. Remember, the mob and the republican both follow the bible and go to church to keep appearances.

In November 2007 Sicilian police reported to have found a list of "Ten Commandments" in the hideout of mafia boss Salvatore Lo Piccolo. Similar to the Biblical Ten Commandments, they are thought to be a guideline on how to be a good, respectful honorable mafioso. The commandments are as follows:[22]

No one can present himself directly to another of our friends. There must be a third person to do it.
Never look at the wives of friends.
Never be seen with cops.
Don''t go to pubs and clubs.
Always being available for Cosa Nostra is a duty - even if your wife''s about to give birth.
Appointments must absolutely be respected.
Wives must be treated with respect.
When asked for any information, the answer must be the truth.
Money cannot be appropriated if it belongs to others or to other families.
People who can''t be part of Cosa Nostra: anyone who has a close relative in the police, anyone with a two-timing relative in the family, anyone who behaves badly and doesn''t hold to moral values.

People turn to mafia-like organizations when they become too distrustful of accepted authorites.

Part two: But the Italian Mob is involved in many things that affect the common man. The Unions, look at what happened to Jimmy Hoffa. Why do you think he disappeared? Innocent workers who are forced to join the unions, have their monies manipulated by the mob. But if you want to work in that company, you have no choice but to join the union. They are also involved in Hijacking commercial trucking, therefore affecting the price of all goods that finally make it to the store shelves because they need to markup the price to cover the losses from the hijackings. Commercial sanitation, if you try to start a restaurant, they force you to use only their company, when you can find a cheaper company. All of this effects ALL OF US, even if you stay in your own neighborhoods. Because every business owner in this predicament needs to mark up their prices which hits all of our pockets. Drugs, if you don''t do it, you are not affected as much as these other activities I have listed and there is more. Drugs has been in our society for decades, cocaine was a main ingredient In Coca Cola. Now Redbull is the drink that gives you a "Kick". Charles Darwin took drugs, Clinton smoked pot. Alchol is a drug and look at what happend in Chicago back when it was illegal, innocent people got shot up.
All I said was this low life should have been deported, just like anyone involved in criminal activity. But not those who just want to WORK.
