(AP)  Brazilian authorities say they have recovered numerous body parts of a dismembered British teen beside a remote river near the central city of Goiania.

A laborer walking in the area found a leg belonging to 17-year-old Cara Marie Burke on Sunday, a week after her torso was discovered in a suitcase near a different river. Police searching in the same area Monday found her forearms and head.

Inspector Carlos Raimundo Batista says he is confident the body parts are Burke's.

Police say Mohammed D'Ali Carvalho dos Santos, 20, confessed he dumped Burke's head and limbs into the river.

Last week, Santos said he does not remember what happened the night she died because he was too high on cocaine.

In an interview from his jail cell with The Associated Press, Santos said: "I don't remember much, I had used too much drugs."

Santos did not say whether he killed her during the brief interview. Police say Santos has already admitted to killing Burke because she threatened to tell the suspect's parents he was a drug dealer and addicted to cocaine.

Authourities said Friday they are looking for another suspect who helped Santos get rid of Burke's head and other body parts.

There are really a bunch of sicko''s in this world that we live in today. This kind of stuff happens every single day. When are people gonna open their eyes and realize that you can not trust anyone. These people who murder others should die in the same manner as to which they have killed. That''s what is fair !

I suppose I take being rational for granted. How could you entertain the idea of killing someone and cutting up their body for even a second. The ''high on drugs'' excuse is played out. That''s B.S. with a capital B! The possibility of being so messed up on any substance, that you didn''t know it was wrong to cut someone up is such a remote possibility. If, by chance, one did accidentally murder someone as a result of being high or drunk, that''s one thing. But to try to cover up this crime by actually dismembering the corpse! That is so sinister. This guy''s problems are way deeper than drug use. His addiction is merely a symptom of a seriously evil mind. It just stinks that there are so many bleeding hearts in the justice system today. This guy could walk in a few years, if he even ever sees the inside of a jail cell for any length of time. A case like this is cut and dry in my mind. Why does our society over analyze people like this to the point of actually justifying his behavior? Just like the guy on death row in Ohio who says he''s too fat (5''7", 267lbs. or thereabouts) to be killed by lethal injection. Says it will cause him undue suffering because his veins are deep and he takes migrane medication!?!? OK, then find another way to do it. There are many ways to execute a criminal, none of which are intended to be particularly pleasant.

Well the truth is parents who don''t teach their kids to be afraid of strangers and who don''t keep them home under their watch are basically putting their kids out there to be killed or worse. The one I feel sorry for is the poor guy murdered on the Greyhound Bus in Canada. He did nothing wrong. He did not show poor judgement. We do need to bring back public hangings and the firing squad I think!

OK, OK. I could believe the guys in Canada and Greece are mentally ill. But this guy just belongs in the slammer.

Watch him make a plea bargain to help convict the "other" person and others in the drug network. Then he''ll get of lightly.

And yah, what''s a 17 year old girl doing out on her own, parents?

Are some of you saying that at 17 a person isn''t old enough to be on their own? Well, if a 17 year old isn''t mature or old enough...then why make the legal age 18? Puleeeeze. At 17 the male or female is old enough to live on their own..if not then they end up in trouble. Is that her parents fault? No, it is not. It''s her fault for trusting. How many older people have trusted someone and died? Huh? How many young people marry the wrong person and end up dead at their spouses hand? TOO YOUNG? GAWD! you guys don''t think. You want restictions on every person for every aspect of life.

Suggestion to all of you...get of the control freak wagon. It''s old.

Yah, give her a break. She was probably REALLY SORRY while she was being hacked to pieces. She made a mistake, OK nobody''s perfect. She''s older and wiser now, and also dead. Maybe now she''s learned from her mistakes, she won''t do it again - especially because she''s dead. She didn''t know it was wrong, now she knows, and she''s also dead.

He just seemed like a cool guy. She''s been around for a whole 17 years, she''s a pretty good judge of character, plus she''s also dead. After all, 17 is ALMOST 18, and 18 is technically an adult, even though she''ll never be 18 herself now because she''s dead.

Yah, maybe she was just mauture for her age and she made a grown up mistake that even much older people make. That is the ones who weren''t murdered and butchered when they were 17 because they threatened to tattle-tale on a drug pusher.

But wouldn''t it have been nice if she waited until she REALLY WAS an adult before she got herself slaughtered, so there wouldn''t be that lingering suspicion that maybe she WASN''T really mature enough to be circulating with drug dealers on her own?

I mean, that didn''t really work out so well this time, did it. There are some mistakes that don''t give you a second chance.
