(CBS/AP)  When the mother of Reigh Boss was told that her little girl was found safe and sound, "She collapsed into my arms. She was overjoyed," a Boston Police deputy superintendent said Monday.

Thomas Lee, speaking to CBS' The Early Show, called it "one of the most rewarding moments in my police career."

Seven-year-old Reigh was taken last Sunday during a supervised visit with her father, Clark Rockefeller, who was divorced from Reigh's mother, Sandra Boss.

Rockefeller was arrested Saturday in Baltimore. Police found Reigh safe in an apartment her father rented under an alias.

This morning the 48-year-old Rockefeller waived his right to a governor's warrant and will be extradited from Baltimore to face justice in Massachusetts.

He signed the waiver before a hearing Monday on a fugitive warrant.

Rockefeller faces charges in Massachusetts of felony custodial kidnapping, assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

He faces no charges in Maryland, where he was arrested Saturday.

Baltimore District Court Associate Judge Norman Braverman set an Aug. 15 date for a status hearing. Authorities from Massachusetts have 30 days to retrieve Rockefeller from Maryland.

He will be held at the Central Booking facility in Baltimore until his return to Massachusetts.

During his court appearance, Rockefeller was dressed in a blue polo shirt and khakis and wore handcuffs and leg irons. He did not speak and was not represented in court by an attorney.

Meanwhile, mother and daughter are doing fine.

A New Town, A New Alias

Boston police tell the Boston Globe that it appears Rockefeller was setting up a new life in Baltimore at the time of arrest.

The seller of a home Rockefeller bought for $450,000 cash a month ago says he called himself Chip Smith and mentioned his daughter was coming to live with him.

"We understand his boat has been down there at least two years and he had been traveling in the area for some time over the last year," Lee told The Early Show.

Authorities are still trying to determine his real identity after they uncovered additional aliases he used in Maryland.

Last Sunday, Rockefeller disappeared with his daughter, allegedly taking Reigh in a calculated plot that included fleeing from a social worker near a Boston park and setting up two rides to take him and Reigh from Massachusetts to New York.

The two were last seen at Grand Central Terminal in midtown Manhattan last Sunday.

During a news conference Sunday, Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis thanked the public and the media for their help in the case. Hundreds of tips had been called in.

CBS station WBZ reported that many tips did not pan out. Investigators in New York got a 911 call that the girl was seen on a Brooklyn bus, but the lead proved false. On Friday, police dismissed several witness reports that Rockefeller and his daughter were spotted in the Caribbean the day before.

On Thursday, the FBI suggested that Rockefeller may have dyed his hair an orange-red color and may have cut Reigh's hair to make her look like a boy. However, both of their appearances were unaltered at the time of Rockefeller's arrest, police said.

CBS News correspondent Priya David reports that a tip from "a concerned citizen" helped Baltimore police and the FBI track down Rockefeller.

After investigators learned the two were at an apartment in the northern Baltimore neighborhood of Mount Vernon, Davis said, the FBI created a ruse, luring Rockefeller from the apartment by calling him from a nearby marina to tell him his boat, a 26-foot catamaran, was taking on water.

Upon leaving the apartment, he was immediately arrested. Police said Rockefeller was cooperative.

The FBI said Rockefeller's daughter was ecstatic when they found her. That part of the case is solved.

But there's still a mystery: What is Rockefeller's real identity?

A Rockefeller spokesman says the 48-year-old bears no relation to the famous family.

Police said authorities still aren't sure what the man (who has used several aliases) did for work or money, and aren't sure if he has a valid Social Security number.

"Since you''''ll be naked_, could you send me pictures of you naked_ so I can model you correctly?"

Let me get this straight. You want naked pictures of a "shrew" and an "ugly witch"?

Let''s see...

Rockefeller has already gone to extraordinary lengths to conceal his past, even refusing to provide proof of his identity in his 2007 divorce case (From the Boston Globe)

If he wanted to be with his daughter so badly, why wouldn''t he tell the court who he was?

Kidnap suspect Clark Rockefeller has repeatedly told investigators he cannot recall who his parents are or where he was born.

Rockefeller''s fingerprints, taken after his capture here Saturday, were linked to an out-of-state license application under a different name, presumably yet another alias, those officials said. That name, in turn, is on a list of people wanted in a homicide case in California, according to the officials.

I know you guys think that the courts hate you and yes, I have a family member that was treated badly during custody hearings (but he didn''t help himself with his criminal record). But not every case is messed up, not every father is bad, not every mother a saint. And complaining in this type of forum won''t fix it. Neither will trading insults and making threats.

*** like this news story is the reason why you have men who kill their wife and children and then themselves. They feel that at least "mommy government" cannot break up their family if they are dead. I do not blame them for their motives.

There is no way any sane man would waive his right to face no charges in Maryland just so he can go back to Baltimore to face many charges. The cops must have tricked him into signing that waiver. The news wants to make the dad look stupid also.

"Anyone who cohabits with another person for 12 years and does not know his (or her) real name or occupation is an unfit parent, regardless of gender."

As much as it kills me to agree with you, I do on this one. If you are married to someone and sharing a life with them, you should know where your spouse works, you should know what their checks are, etc. It may not be possible to know their real name though, if they have been hiding it all along. If you are paying attention, you should be able to pick up on the lies.

Neither one of the parents should have custody of the kid, because they are both idiots.

Can''t say either is a fit parent. One is clearly a con and the other is an educated idiot. You need a license to have a dog or catch a fish but anybody can have a baby. This poor child. Unknown con man for a father and although, extreamly "book" smart, extreamly commonsenseless mother. The only thing "CLEAR" here is that there is little hope for the little girl.

"The seller of a home Rockefeller bought for $450,000 cash a month ago . . ."

It appears he had his own financial means of support without the shrew''''s assistance.

It''s equally possible that he got a "settlement" from his rich wife when they divorced so that he would go quietly. You don''t know any more than the rest of us do, but the facts we do have don''t support your characterization of this guy as an ideal parent.

"The court made a serious mistake when it awarded custody to the absentee, self-absorbed "mother." The father is clearly the more fit parent."

You''ve got to be kidding! This man is a con artist. He undoubtedly had fake IDs that he used when he married his ex-wife. When his deception began to unravel, she got a divorce and a restraining order. She had good reason not to trust a man whose real identity couldn''t be established.

Please note: "The FBI said Rockefeller''s daughter was ecstatic when they found her." Does this sound like a little girl who wanted to live with her wonderful daddy? We can only be grateful that Reigh''s welfare was not in your hands. You proved that you are are an opinionated misogynist, incapable of admitting error, and steadfast in refusing to be swayed by facts.

Why question the father changing his name when he has numerous other names he goes by? He obviously has something to hide. The courts decided that the daughter stays with the mom and that''s it. The father was very wrong taking his daughter away. If he wants to contest that decision...do it in court. Otherwise, he is a fugitive and deserves to be treated that way. GOP carries around a lot of hate to be such a good Christian.

I do not know any of the details of the family details in this case - but I do know that I have dated guys who have told me that their parents were dead and had no siblings.

I think many of you who are so critical of mom are making many assumptions - unless you know more personal details that have been provided in the news stories that I have read. I will be curious to see your sources.

I know that there are just as many possible scenarios as there are people - and I am sure we are all very curious about mom and what happened...

The fact is that most of us - when we meet someone we feel special enough to marry and bear children with - we see that man as "perfect"... Most of us do not look for the negative because we are so enamoured by our "prince"...

This is a phenomenon that is very common and yes it has its errors in common sense - but as long as we have human emotions and dreams of that perfect relationship - we will all make our share of mistakes.

I think that those who are so judgmental against mom in this case - think that their stuff doesn''t stink like everyone else''s.

GOP_forever;

After reading your posts I have one question:
Are you really that naive or do you just pretend to be moronic, narrow-minded and uneducated?

I''m really that curious.

GOP-Forever: once you get a grasp of the English language, then you''ll (maybe, MAYBE) be taken seriously. But until then, you''ll continue being viewed as a sick wack-job with nothing better to do with your pathetic existance than spew ridiculous statements every time your pie-hole opens up.

Probably why the ex wife divorced him in the first place. His lies and aliases and fake lives all caught up with him and she found out she had not married an obscure Rockefeller but a fraud on top of that, maybe he was living off her. With a small daughter in tow, perhaps she moved back to England to put distance between herself and her fake, lying hubby.

Still, desperate people do desperate things and she was right to be terrified of what would become of Snooks with such a person. Of both genders, men more consistently commit murder suicides feeling that if they can''t have the kids and their old life, they will kill themselves and take everyone else with them.
