Suspect Captured After Beheading Woman, Running Over Two Other Women In Stolen Police Car

(AP)  A 40-year-old man killed his girlfriend on the Greek island of Santorini, beheaded her, then tried to flee in a patrol car, a local official said.

He ran over two women doctors who were riding on a motorcycle before he was caught by police, the official said.

The unnamed suspect was shot by police five times and is undergoing surgery at an island hospital, said Chrysanthos Roussos, head of the Santorini district on the island.

Initially, the man roamed the village of Vourvoulos exhibiting the woman's head, Roussos said.

When a policeman tried to handcuff him, the suspect knifed the officer and flung the victim's head into a patrol car, Roussos said.

The suspect then made off in a second patrol car and ran over the motorcycle before he was caught, Roussos said. The two doctors suffered multiple fractures, Roussos said.

The suspect, from northern Greece, was reported to have worked at a local restaurant.

The victim, said to be in her mid to late 20s, was a teacher in a local village, Angelos Roussos the mayor of Thira, the island's main town, was quoted as saying by TV station Antenna. Angelos Roussos and Chrysanthos Roussos are not related.

Police refused comment.

They made it appear as if the guy was walking around with a dolled up head. I can just picture this guy walking up to someone, twirling this head around his finger by the hair and saying "Hey dude, this is my girlfriends head. Prettiest head you ever seen ain''t it? The problem with anti-psychotic medications is, the body builds up a resistance to them, and they stop working. The doctors have to keep changing up the medications to keep the psychosis under control.

The change-over of meds is not pretty. The patient usully needs to be hospitalized until he''s stabilized on the new meds.

With the economy the way it is, some folks are just barely making a living. I know of individuals in sales who are postponing medical treatment because they''re afraid of losing income while they''re away from work for treatment. In sales, it''s not just the time you miss. They say any time you take time away from work, it takes an equal amount of time to get your sales rate back up to what it was before you left.

So we might start seeing more medicated psychotics going off their meds because they''re relulctant to take the cure when they know they need to change meds.
