(AP)  A man accused of kidnapping his 7-year-old daughter during a supervised visit in Boston last weekend was arrested Saturday in Baltimore and the girl was found safe, authorities said.

A "concerned citizen" tipped off authorities that the man known as Clark Rockefeller was living in a Baltimore apartment and had a 26-foot catamaran docked at a nearby marina, Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis said.

Rockefeller will be arraigned Monday to begin extradition proceedings. He is charged with felony custodial kidnapping, assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, Davis said.

Investigators invented a ruse to get Rockefeller out of the apartment and away from the child. They called the suspect and told him that his boat was taking on water. He was arrested when he left the apartment, Davis said.

The girl, Reigh Boss, was found apparently unharmed in the apartment. She was en route to being reunited with her mother on Saturday.

"Her first words were she was very happy to see very nice people ... she was ecstatic," said Noreen Gleason, the FBI's assistant special agent in charge of the Boston division.

The girl lives with her mother, Sandra Boss, who works in London as a partner in a global management consulting firm. The mother collapsed after hearing that her daughter was found alive. "She fainted, in a way," Boston Police Deputy Superintendent Tom Lee said.

The arrest ended a suspenseful week that began in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood when police said Rockefeller attacked and fled from a social worker during a supervised visit with his daughter.

In what police believe was an elaborate plan, Rockefeller is accused of arranging for two drivers to take them to New York City. He was most recently spotted last Sunday at Grand Central Terminal in New York City.

Police first believed Rockefeller was trying to flee to Bermuda or Peru on a yacht docked in Long Island, east of New York City. But later they found Rockefeller might have planted false clues to throw investigators off his trail.

The father and daughter did not appear to have sailed to Baltimore, because the catamaran has been docked there all along.

Davis said the investigation was ongoing and authorities were still trying to determine Rockefeller's real identity and if anyone else was involved in the abduction.

Rockefeller used at least four known aliases, and there is no indication the fugitive is related to the famous family descended from Standard Oil billionaire John D. Rockefeller Sr., family members said.

If anyone has ever been through a nasty divorce with children involved MAY understand why he did what he did. There are lots of assumptions surrounding this story. Like all the assumptions of sexual perversion. That has NEVER been proven or disproven. Everyone automatically ASSUMES that children BELONG to the mother but this is not always the case. NOBODY here posting (myself included) knows exactly what went on within that family dynamic/behind closed doors.
I still stand my comments about the girl being found safe and sound is the ONLY thing that really MATTERS in THIS case! There are many, many more children NOT so LUCKY! A lot of these abducted children end up DEAD!

Uh-oh, what have I done? Just remember, if you are mean to me, I can get REAL VICIOUS.

Wow. I didn''t realize how much work it was. I feel bad now. You don''t have to do it, if you don''t want to.

"Especially one that I''''m not all that crazy about making."

Again, I feel bad, especially when it''s going to be your blood and guts. I''ll survive if I don''t see it. I will just imagine it in my head.:)

A related story indicates or implies the parents were married. If this man uses so many alieses, and isn''t a Rockefeller (whether related to THE Rockefeller family or not) the mother should sue the locality that issued their marriage license.

You like being mean to me, don''t you tucker?
Well, at least you didn''t call me a bimbo.

"Actually, I have started "your" (?) video."
You are making it ESPECIALLY for ME, aren''t you?

"I have to design the set before I do anything else."

So exactly how do you go about making a video? Too hard to explain?

I think the girl was better off with the Dad. This woman who is a McKinsey partner, who works from 7 am to 10 PM every day, and who was married FOR TWELVE YEARS to this guy, clearly is one of those soulless narcissistic workaholics that inhabit the top spots at McKinsey and all the other large Consulting firms.

They are empty, soulless people who create ''families'' simply to meet the requirement that they not be viewed as soulless monsters by their clients. They trot them out as needed, but really don''t give a second thought about them. Ever. They have partnered with a corporation, not with a human being.

These people like Sandra Boss are a nightmare to their children. Little Reigh Boss will now simply be a cute, lonely accessory, sitting in an empty house while her workaholic mother tells and retells the ''exciting story'' of her husbands fraud.....but really, he is the better person of the two.

I pity this little girl and the non-life she has ahead of her.

At least her Dad was willing to risk his own freedom and life to try to give her a human existence.

Her Mom won''t even come home from the office.

Poor little girl.

Is "shrew" another name for "bimbo"?:)

How''s my video coming? Started yet?

Question for ya, Tucker...

If the man is so on the up and up, why did he feel it necessary to knock the visitation supervisor down and run with the child and hide her?

If he was on the up and up, he''d abide by the rules and do whatever it takes to get to see his child.

Fact is, you don''t know anymore than we do, other than that the man chose to do the absolutely WRONG thing, because now he''s been hunted down, and arrested!

Wrong. Unless this man goes to prison for a very long time, he will come after her again. There is something wrong with this man.

You appear to be ignorant of how family courts operate.

Supervised visitation means absolutely nothing other than mommy whined to the court.

I do so wish that you were right, and that children were not really being abused by parents. I would love to be able to live in a world like that.
