3 Teens Charged In Immigrant Beating Death

(AP)  Three white teens were charged Friday in what officials said was an epithet-filled fatal beating of an illegal Mexican immigrant in a small northeast Pennsylvania coal town.

Brandon J. Piekarsky, 16, and Colin J. Walsh, 17, were charged as adults with homicide and ethnic intimidation in the July 12 attack on Luis Ramirez.

A third teen, Derrick M. Donchak, 18, was charged with aggravated assault, ethnic intimidation and other offenses. All are from Shenandoah, where the attack occurred.

Ramirez, 25, was beaten to death after an argument with a group of youths that police said included high school football players. Authorities could not immediately say if any of the suspects were members of the team, but they confirmed that all three used ethnic slurs during the fight.

"As a result of this crime, a young man has lost his life. Many other lives have been devastated, and the borough of Shenandoah has been filled with tensions between many ethnic groups," Schuylkill County District Attorney James Goodman said.

"Now that the criminal charges have been filed, we must let this case be handled in the criminal justice system," he said.

Police said as many as six teens were involved in the fight, which ended with Ramirez in convulsions and foaming at the mouth. He died July 14 of head injuries.

Crystal Dillman, the victim's 24-year-old fiancee, who is white and grew up in Shenandoah, has said Ramirez was often called derogatory names, including "dirty Mexican," and told to return to his homeland.

"I plan on moving out of this town as fast as I can. Not because I'm scared. I just don't want to see my children have to deal with what their father dealt with," Dillman said.

Piekarsky and Walsh were being held without bail, while Donchak was held on $75,000 bail.

Lawyers for Piekarsky and Walsh said their clients were not guilty and that there was no evidence to support the homicide charges. They also said they would try to have the case removed to juvenile court.

Donchak declined comment.

That beaner deserved what he got. Any illegal who thinks they can do whatever they want and not pay the consequences need to look at this. Beaners do stuff all the time like infest this country with gangs, stupidity, and just all around being dirty illegal field rats. These kids should never have been charged because they were just doing the right thing by getting rid of one of these things before he had a chance to take out a white person with his **** gang. These kids should be celebrated as heroes.

As horrific as this crime is, it is getting way more press than similar crimes committed by our illegals here against the rest of us.. And there is a cover up. Just try to find the names of the 53 Whites and Asians who were dragged from cars in 1991 LA riots. Can''t on the LA Times Search, as the TOTAL RIOT has been erased . No memorial. No nothining.
Just a few months ago illegals shot up a whole family killing father and two sons, for no reason.
In LA a family got on the "wrong street" and they were shot up , killing a 4 year old girl.
This crime is bad. But, hey let''s get some balance even if the story does not fit the "story line."

Some writers on this stream don''t understand that it doesn''t make you a patriot to murder a prostitute, drug dealer, or illegal alien. It makes you a murdrer and you will be charged with a very serious crime and spend a long time wondering why you have less rights than the person you just murdered.

Some of you don''t know how easy it is to be an illegal alien in another country. Try this: go to San Diego, California and drive south on I-5. It is that simple. You will see one sign warning that you are about to cross into Mexico and have one chance to exit, but it won''t tell you whether to use the left lane or the right lane. Then 15 seconds later, you are in Mexico.

Did you bring your passport? Do you have Mexican Auto Insurance? If not, you are illegal. Now, that you are an illegal alien in Mexico, are you waiting for Mexican citizens to holler out at you and possibly beat you to death? Think about it. You are illegal there. Turning back to cross back over isn''t easy and will require some extensive navigation and about an hour or two of waiting in line.

You won''t find Mexican citizens or police officers looking for you and trying to throw you out of Mexico. (In fact, some way want a ride with you.)

Violent encounters over legal or illegal alien status only occur in a few places here, where education has been outpaced with sensational and impressionable news media. I wish those three youths had better access to role models who were more level headed. Being charged with murder with the rest of their lives ahead of them, proves we sometimes fail to answer the needs of our youth.

It isn''t a question of blaming him for his own death. Perhaps he confronted these youth and they attascked him, doesn''t matter, he was illegally here and no matter what their logic was for killing him it was wrong. We need to be above the standards set by criminals. He was a criminal but these youth were even worse than him.

"American is not suppose to be a lawless third world country."
But is that not what we become when we allow others to break our laws and then sit by saying it''''s alright, you mean well?
Murder has NO excuses. These boys deserve what they get. No question.
But.
If I had gone running through the middle of the million man march shouting the N word, I would have got beat up, maybe killed. Would it have been right? No. But I would have brought it on myself. Illegals are putting themselfs in that kind of situation, and they are taking Hispanic Americans down with them.
We need to return to the rule of law, and enforce it. And then we need to welcome anyone who decides the American dream is worth pursuing enough to follow the law and do it right.
It''''s not the right wing way. It''''s not the Left''''s either. It''''s the AMERICAN way.

These are all points on which we can agree.
