The pantyhose - sometimes new, sometimes used - haves been left on Camp Street for more than two years. They're almost always black and queen sized.
Resident Laurie Warich tells the Milford Daily News she picked up 43 pairs in one day.
Police say they've done some investigating and talked to one suspect. But Chief Thomas O'Loughlin said the only crime being committed is littering and his department just doesn't have the resources to focus on the case.
Some neighbors are discussing doing an amateur sting with video cameras and walkie talkies to catch the so-called "Pantyhose Bandit."

Is this the reporters lame attempt at humor?
How can you call someone a bandit, if the only crime is littering?
Okay lets eliminate some of the suspects, unless there is a crime spree these last two years, I am willing to believe it is a woman doing this. Judging by the size I would say a large woman. Or it could be a sick freak with a panty hose fetish.
Ok, How do they know which ones were new and which ones were used? Did they performed the sniff test?
