(CBS/AP)  The mother of a missing 2-year-old Orlando girl is trying again to get released from jail as investigators search for the child.

A bond hearing is scheduled Tuesday afternoon for Casey Anthony. The 22-year-old mother reported her daughter missing last week, more than a month after the little girl allegedly disappeared.

Anthony was arrested last week after telling authorities her daughter, Caylee Marie Anthony, had been missing since June 9. Anthony faces charges of child endangerment, making false officials statements and obstructing a criminal investigation.

She was denied bail at a hearing last week. Investigators say Anthony has done nothing but lie to them, but the woman's attorney says she's been cooperating and wants to help investigators.

Anthony's mother, Cindy, said her daughter knows who has the toddler and told CBS News' The Early Show her daughter should be released so she can help detectives.

"I think Casey entrusted her with the same person she's entrusted her with in a long time," she said, "and that person has betrayed her and since then has been threatening her and that's why she can't be 100 percent honest in everything that she's, you know, telling people."

Casey Anthony's lawyer, Jose Baez, said his client wants to cooperate with authorities.

"She is a good mother and has no history of being a bad mother," Baez said. "She wants to find her daughter."

Baez said Anthony doesn't know where the girl is, but he was sending investigators a letter pledging her cooperation. He told The Early Show he expects his client to be released after her bond hearing.

"I expect her to get a bond because of the charges she's facing," Baez said. "She's facing two misdemeanor charges and a very low grade felony."

Sheriff's officials say Anthony has repeatedly lied to them and showed little emotion or concern in interviews just before her arrest.

Orange County Sheriff's deputy Carlos Padilla said Baez hasn't returned detectives' calls to set up a meeting.

"The key lies in the mother, and we would hope the lawyer would allow the detectives to speak to her in his presence to find out exactly where this child is," Padilla said. "This lawyer has taken the time to take this to the media, but he's not yet returned the phone calls to discuss this."

Padilla urged the person who might have the girl but is worried about being prosecuted to drop her off at a hospital or law enforcement office.

Last week, investigators used cadaver-sniffing dogs and dug through Cindy Anthony's backyard looking for the toddler. Detectives say Casey Anthony asked a neighbor to borrow a shovel around the time her daughter went missing.

They said she contacted police last week because the girl's grandmother was concerned.

Anthony told detectives she didn't call authorities immediately because she was conducting her own investigation, according to the charging affidavit. The apartment where she said she dropped off the girl hadn't been occupied in months, and Casey Anthony gave detectives a bogus employer, manager's name and work telephone number, according to the affidavit.

It baffles my mind that her own Mother say''s that her daughter knows where her granddaughter is, but she should be released so she can help police with the investigation. Why doesn''t she tell them what she knows and where her daughter could be NOW!!!

it is very obvious that the mother knows [something]. there is a reason as to why she is lying about the apartment, her job, etc. etc. by looking at the mother she looks like she is a drug addict. i wonder if they have even given her a drug test.. that would be relevant although it doesn''t show where caylee is or what happened to her.. it will show what kind of mother we are dealing with

I agree with not hearing what everyone is stating about this case. But, the hard core fact right now, is there is a child missing. The mother has discredited herself due to the lies she has continued to state. Sure, not all the facts have been brought to light, but still there is a child missing since the beginning of June. We all know how these stories usually unfold, in death. Another child being placed to death for no reason at all. The mother, if guilty, I hope is placed to death for the crime of her child.

For one, never trust what the Orange Co. Sheriff Dept. says, they are known to lie & say whatever just to get a charge. I admit there is something going on but you can''t judge a person unless you have all the facts. Casey may be keeping quiet cause the person that has the little girl has threatened her if she says anything.
Not likely but there is a chance. She may also be full of s*@t & will end up killing herself if/when she gets outta jail, just like the Trenton Ducket case last year, also out here in Central Florida.

I agree with pauleli. We dont know that there wasnt some kind of domestic violence or threat the mom was living with and was perhaps too scared to go to the police. It is easy to say "if I were the mother, I would have...." but we dont know what she was going through. Although, she may just be a nut muderess.

Just how is it you and diatreme believe that scopolamine, and anti-vertigo medication, will help extract a confession?

GEEZ! Too many people watching too many big pharma commercials on TV, AND NOT paying attention, just get the drug and it will cure all your ills.

If she did anything to that beautiful little girl, she could end up being very sorry that she did not have herself *fixed* before she had her. -- There will be an awful lot of angry mommies out there, just waiting to get their hands on her. -- Poor kid!

This is a very simple case. Just give me the girls mother for a half hour in a closed room and at the end of the half hour she will give the information needed to return the child. Removing teeth one at a time without novacane seems to work.

If she wanted to help she could do it from jail, now, withouta bail hearing. She only wants out so she can run, probably to the nearest dealer for her next fix.

Good Mother? I tell you what if my child was missing I would call the police as soon as she went missing there is no way any responsible parent would wait a whole month b4 reporting their child missing, she is 2 years old its not like she packed her bags and hit the road. What an idiot, I would most definatly say that she has alot to do with this child missing.
