Push To Name Sewage Plant After Bush

San Francisco Voters To Decide Whether To Name Local Sewage Plant For President

  • Interactive Bush Presidency

The president's agenda, plus facts, figures, major events and key personalities.

(AP)  A measure seeking to commemorate President Bush's years in office by slapping his name on a San Francisco sewage plant has qualified for the November ballot.

The measure certified Thursday would rename the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant the George W. Bush Sewage Plant.

Supporters say the idea is to commemorate the mess they claim Bush has left behind by actions such as the war in Iraq.

Local Republicans say the plan stinks and they will oppose it.

When he is gone, I want nothing left to remind me of him. Nightmares should be forgotten.

Well I''m happy to see someone showing our crooked politicians what we think of them...Way to many bridges, buildings etc have their names on them giving the world the impression that we as Americans are really dumb enough to believe their ***!No one in their right mind can think that a guy in a cave in the middle east can arrange for several planes to bomb our bldgs w/o NORAD stepping in and stopping it. NORAD sure knew w/o 20 minutes why Vince Fosters plane was not responding when he blacked out but even after the 1st plane hit it was 1 hr and 20 min before the next plane hit. And then he put us in a senseless war and killed over 4000 US soldiers as well as took so many of our freedoms away.

Just keep the name Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant. Renaming it says more about the lowering of standards in society than it does about Bush. Have fun with trading barbs in this comments area, but actually going through with this will make SF look low class and stupid.

San Francisco is packed with freaks, weirdos, homeless panhandlers, psych patients, homosexuals, communists, ultra liberals and other low lives, so none of this is very suprising.

What''s the matter jankebenz? You and your family doing much better after 7 years of Bush? You guys living the high life of the Bush years or are your kids fighting and dying in the Iraq? Are you paying 4.50 a gallon while the treasonous Bushies make their millions selling us out to Exxon Mobile, Halliburton, etc.? I hope your getting a piece of the pie because if you''re not, you must be dumber than ol'' G. W. to be defending him. The W = WORST president ever.

This is an insult to the integrity of the sewage plant! How dare they deride the integrity of this waste disposal facility by naming it after George W. Bush.

Bush sewage plant? Nah, a more fitting name condidering the location, would be S.H.I.T. farm, stands for SanFrancisco homosexual incubation tanks.

Every Sewage plant in this country should bear the names of those politicians and business leaders that have taken America almost to the bottom. Here is but a few: Rumsfield, Rice, Gonzales, Feith, Kenneth Lay, Cheney, Frist, Gramm, and so many more. Communities may have to put two names on one sewage plant because there are not enough sewage plants to cover all the totalitarian, corrupt, and incompetent Fascists that have gotten us into this mess.

Maybe they should reconsider, and name the Piping system after Bush... the "George W. Bush Bowel Movement System" Cuz its true the Sewage treatment plant is where all the feces goes to get treated and purified and turned back into a usable liquid. Which isnt what Bush is about... hes about PRODUCING all the Waste and slop, and floaties and feces.

Since this is the kind of game that both parties could play (Democratic-majority communities could name their sewage plants after current President George W. Bush; Republican-majority communities could name their sewage plants after retired President Bill Clinton), then maybe it''s best if EVERYBODY avoids the temptation to engage in this unique form of rhetoric.
