(AP)  Democrat Barack Obama raised $52 million last month, boosting his presidential campaign's fundraising while building up his financial cache for the fall campaign.

The Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee ended June with a combined total of $92.3 million in the bank. The figure represents a notable fundraising jump, especially for the DNC.

Obama reported $72 million cash on hand and the DNC $20.3 million. But the Democrats still lag Republican John McCain's presidential campaign and the Republican Party.

Last week, McCain reported raising more than $22 million in June, which was his best month of the year. Together, the McCain campaign and the Republican National Committee began July with about $95 million in the bank.

The $52 million is Obama's second best fundraising month of the year - he raised $55 million in February. But the figure combines cash that can be spent in the remaining summer primary season as well as money that can only be spent in the fall. In earlier months, Obama was raising money almost exclusively for the primary.

That means Obama, who has been maintaining a vigorous fundraising pace in the summer, can now raise money for the general election from donors who had already given the $2,300 limit for his primary race.

Unlike McCain, Obama has chosen to bypass the presidential public financing system for the fall campaign, which would have provided him with $84 million but would have prevented him from raising private money. McCain has agreed to accept the public money, which puts a greater emphasis on party fundraising.

The DNC said it raised $22.4 million in June, a dramatic increase from the $4.7 million it raised in May. The spike in fundraising came after Obama and the DNC formed a joint fundraising effort. Donors can give a maximum contribution to the party of $28,500.

The DNC still fell short of its Republican counterpart, which raised $26 million in June.

Check out May tallies for Obama and McCain - including how much they've raised and spent since the campaign began.
With the substantial help of their respective parties, each campaign is looking to raise more than $400 million during the five months preceding the November election.

McCain, aided by a large cash on hand surplus at the RNC, is off to a head start and has been outspending Obama in advertising. McCain has concentrated his advertising in about 11 battleground states. Obama has been spending less but has broadened the field to about 18 states.

Sound good?? Perhaps, until you note once again how Sen. NOwayBama has already declared that he will allow the current $2500 tax cut this family is receiving from the G.W. Bush tax cuts expire.

Thus leaving this family with a net tax increase of $1,500 over what they are paying today.

Yeap, add this $113 a month tax increase to what you are paying at the pump thanks to Sen. NOwayBama and his just say no plans and see how much you love the "CHANGE" he is promising you now???

What a guy....And all the time he''''s grinning like a possum eating ka,ka all the way to the bank with cash he''''s getting from the greenie weenie industry.

Close, but no cigar. What Obamas tax plan actually says is that he would keep the tax cuts for those who have a income level below $250,000, and in addition a family of four would receive an extra $1000 tax credit.

Perhaps you should concentrate on the poor tax plan President Bush has used to slowly destroy our economy, a failed tax plan that Senator McCain has flip-flopped to embrace......

$52 million pays for a lot of tuition, but does he have to spend it on taking 300+ people with him on his overseas trip?

What is this I keep hearing about Sen. NoWayBama increasing taxes on only the rich??

I heard a man break it down last evening.

Sen. NOwayBama''s plan declares a family of four earning $50,000 will in fact receive an extra $1000 tax credit more than what they are receiving today.

===============

"hate speech" according to these Sen. NObama worshippers like old truthful above is anyone offering anything in opposition to what appears to be nothing more than recycled JFK fffffeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellll good speeches from the ''60''s.

Remember this one..."Ask no what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."

Sound familiar?? It''s just the classic Democrapisms they''ve been breech loading their minions with for years now.

This along with promising to steal from the rich and give a portion of the booty to their minions is what keeps these nation hating libtard Democrats in office.

This should leave no doubt as to how well this GreenieWeenie industry is paying Sen. NO-NO-NOWay-Obama.

I had heard the big bio-fuel producers were paying him millions, but this number is large enough there can be little doubt he has branched out.

Obama is asking us ALL to pay attention and get involved, he is asking us to listen to what he has to say, and to take some initiative to look up all of the specifics he has laid out in his "blueprint for America" (available on his website)for how he would like to implement change.

In other words Obama is trying to help educate low information voters so they don%u2019t have to keep repeating hate speech that they get from talk radio.

He is asking us to step up to the plate and take some responsibility for moving this country forward in a way that benefits us all (not just the top 1%, like McCain%u2019s plans would do).

"We will ask Americans to serve. We will create new opportunities for Americans to serve. And we will direct that service to our most pressing national challenges."

"When you choose to serve %u2014 whether it%u2019s your nation, your community, or simply your neighbor, You are connected to that fundamental American ideal that we want Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness not just for ourselves, but for all Americans. That is why this is a great nation,"

I have been watching McCain closely over the last couple of weeks. I am convinced that he has had a recurrence of cancer over his right eye.

He has been covering it up with makeup, but during a closeup I watched on CNN last night, you could clearly see that the skin above the eyebrow was really wrinkling in a very strange way.

The question is if we want a man in the White House who will regularly give his ear to the likes of a Reverend Wright, his and Sabeel%u2019s replacement theologies, and pro-terrorist propagandists like Ali Abunimah on a regular basis? In one sense, Obama could be considered the ISM%u2019s Manchurian candidate given his wide connections to ISM activists and campaign movements such as the Wheels of Justice Tour, Joseph Carr a.k.a. Joseph Smith, Hannah Mermelstein, Anna Baltzer and others.

Wright%u2019s church even praised Hamas in the past, and has always touted it as an Islamic charity organization showing such social kindness despite its charter calling for unyielding murder and expulsion of Jews in the Middle East.
