Woman Pleads Guilty To Doping Her 6-Year-Olds And Photographing Them Nude With Boyfriend

(AP)  An Illinois woman faces at least 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to doping her 6-year-old twin girls with cough syrup and taking nude pictures of them with her boyfriend.

The 30-year-old mother pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court in western Wisconsin to creating child pornography.

Her boyfriend, 37-year-old Roger Smith of Hollandale, pleaded guilty last month to sexually exploiting children. Both are due for sentencing in September.

U.S. District Judge Barbara Crabb ordered the mother, who is pregnant, placed at a federal Bureau of Prisons medical center until sentencing.

The twins have lived with their father since the couple divorced in October. The pictures were taken in November and February at the woman's home in west-central Illinois.

The Associated Press generally does not identify people who may be victims of sexual assault and naming the mother could reveal the girls' identities.

1. This is another in a long line of sicko, parental abuse stories we see in the news! They just don''t stop, do they?!

2. Both these people better be psychologically evaluated!

3. I hope the state is now going to turn the kids over to the father or other suitable relative to act as guardian permanently. The same should apply to the unborn child once it is delivered.

4. Fifteen years is probably a pretty fair sentence considering what they did. Hopefully, they will serve most of it.

5. Notice this happened in the upper Mid-West, so there is no regional-dependent association when it comes to child abuse! Unfortunately, it happens everywhere!

1. I do believe ''cbs'' has a valid point. As times get tougher, as quality of life erodes, the chances of child abuse become more prevalent!

2. Placed in extremely difficult or life-threatening situations, a person''s character, often times erodes as well, and is not enough to stop the descent into degradation!

3. Therefore, we need government to function at as high a level as it can! As it''s bottoming out now, hopefully, it has no where to go but up---again, hopefully! If it is, this should ease the burden on the citizenry, and reduce the amount of these bizarre
