John Bredickas has pleaded not guilty to breach of peace, assault on an elderly victim, attempt to commit arson and criminal mischief.
Bantam Superior Court Judge Charles Gill told Bredickas Wednesday that when someone starts punching 83-year-old grandmothers around, "you got to think something is wrong with you."
Police say Bredickas had been drinking Tuesday and during a fit of anger struck his grandmother then poured gasoline over two of her cars, but apparently didn't have a match to start them ablaze.
Bond has been set at $25,000 and Bredickas has been ordered to stay away from his grandmother's house.

- Imagine the vile posts that would be on this page if he was from, say, Alabama or Georgia. But since he''s from a Northeast liberal state, they''re quiet here. Where is sevenpesos these days, anyway?

- Grandma probably has the family fortune and he got tired of waiting for her to die to collect. She may have told him he couldn''t have any money!! In CT there is a lot of family inheritance gone astray!!

- LOL Didn''t have a match. LMAO Hopefully he was from the shallow end of his gene pool. I''d hate to think that he was a "prime representative" of his family''s intelligence level.
And I just love the "not guilty" plea. Lawyer''s advice assuredly, but ridiculous nonetheless. Since he''s in Connecticut, and I do NOT reside in Connecticut, does that mean I''m NOT paying for his free lawyer? - Reply to this comment

- My Mom''s an 81 year old great-grandmother and if anyone even looks at her wrong - I''d put their lights out!!! This grandson in the article is the farthest thing from being ''grand'' - what a worthless jerk. Just because he was drinking is no excuse - I''ve never been that drunk.
