Statistics and specifics on crime in America.
John Bredickas has pleaded not guilty to breach of peace, assault on an elderly victim, attempt to commit arson and criminal mischief.
Bantam Superior Court Judge Charles Gill told Bredickas Wednesday that when someone starts punching 83-year-old grandmothers around, "you got to think something is wrong with you."
Police say Bredickas had been drinking Tuesday and during a fit of anger struck his grandmother then poured gasoline over two of her cars, but apparently didn't have a match to start them ablaze.
Bond has been set at $25,000 and Bredickas has been ordered to stay away from his grandmother's house.

Or maybe they should let her do some target practice on him with a shotgun.
This guy does not deserve to draw breath. I can only hope that Prison Justice will prevail.
Because we live in The United States. Land of the free, home of the brave.

This isn''t a very nice person. Beating up your grandmother and setting her car on fire is not the description of a person who will obey a court order to "stay away from his grandmother''s house".
And I just love the "not guilty" plea. Lawyer''s advice assuredly, but ridiculous nonetheless. Since he''s in Connecticut, and I do NOT reside in Connecticut, does that mean I''m NOT paying for his free lawyer?
