(AP)  Iran's president said Tuesday he did not see any possibility of a war between his country and the United States or Israel.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said he believed Washington and Tel Aviv have been "focusing on propaganda and psychological war" against his country.

"I assure you that there won't be any war in the future," Ahmadinejad told a news conference during a visit to Malaysia for a summit of developing Muslim nations.

But he predicted Israel's "regime" would collapse without the need for any Iranian action.

The Israelis "are a complex political group, but you should know this regime will be eventually destroyed and there is no need of any measure by Iranian people," he said when asked to comment on whether he has called for the destruction of Israel.

The current U.S. administration "has lost its fame and the fame of America in the eyes of the other people of the world," he added, blaming President George W. Bush.

He said the next government "would need at least 30 years in order to compensate, renovate and innovate the damages done by Mr. Bush."

The Iranian leader urged Washington to heal its image by "relying on (the) basis of justice, humanitarian acts and respect for human beings."

"The greatest threat in the Middle East and the whole world ... is the United States' intervention in other countries," Ahmadinejad said.

Talk about a FLIP-FLOP!
Maybe the chance of an Iranian war is is no longer something to rattle swords about, especially when Iran knows Europe and the US as well as the Arabs want to see a regime change in Iran and disassemble its nuclear weapons program.

The US is sorely lacking in intelligent Foreign Policy. Hitler''s Foreign Policy has been resurrected to serve the needs of an oil agenda and turn the US into the most disrespected and despised world power ".

Sad that we can get this reassurance of "no war" from Ahmadinejhad, and at the same time, a PROMISE of war from McCain.

Iraq wants a time table for us to get out and Iran say''s no trouble with any War. Now that the Taliban and Al Queda are all completely rebuilt and trained that is! IF Iraq wasn''t the Military Blunder of ALL time I don''t know what was. They are GOING to ally themselves with the Shiite Iran and there''s not a lot we''re going to do about it. When this Guy visited the Country and acted like he''d gone to just about any other country while our leaders had to Sneak in and out... Well you don''t have to be very Smart to figure this out now do ya!! Course NO ONE ever said George Bush was Smart now did they?? Sieg Heil Bush

ROFLMAO This is NEW?? Fascist have no more idea how to beat these people than a man in the Moon!! It doesn''t take a real smart person to use the worlds biggest Military... just ask Russia about that one. It takes someone who have the MENTAL ability to THINK and develop a plan for using ALL their assets to outlast the other guy. These people FEED on War, they LOVE War. TO them dying in a War is about like Pat Robertson being in charge of a Hospital... IN HOG HEAVEN!! ROFLMAO We''d better get someone in charge who can develop a plan that these people do NOT know is coming or we''ll end up EXACTLY like the USSR! SIEG HEIL BUSH

It''s sad that the only way we hear the truth about the Bush Admin is from the president of Iran. Pretty much everything he said (except perhaps the Israeli remark) is right on target.

How many posters on this forum even remember the Shah of Iran and how we and Europe kept that murderer in on the throne - it was a slew of these repressive monarchs foisted on Iran and other Mid-Eastern countries that has led us into this era of jihad and terror. Afterall, Europe occupied most of these areas for centuries creating the repressive nations we see in the region. It''s no wonder they hate our guts, but you won''t see anything about any of this in the US bought and sold media/news, wouldn''t be prudent or fit into the Bush''s New World Disorder.

only a few american fascists disguised as neocon-repubs refuse to admit their failure -

but no need, it''s there as plain as a red pimple on the end of their nose!

Yes, we should have learned that on 9/11/2001, when we were attacked in response to our relentless intervention in Middle Eastern countries ... NOT!

Before 9/11/2001, our policy was "Leave them alone." We got the result of that policy on 9/11.

Seems like the "Leave them alone" policy DIDN''T WORK.

U know this great nation can only build 12-18 armored troops trucks a month-- the kind the Marines want i Iraq and Afghanistan. Who do you blame for that- Iran?

If he''s dangerous it''s because we want him to be. Our policy of "isolating" Iran has been a great success hasn''t it? I don''t know who the most dangerous man on the planet is but I would say the father and son team that has killed the most people on the planet in my lifetime would be new World Disorder Daddy and Little Bush. We were in so much danger from Iraq that we had to invade them twice. Like father like son, thank goodness Little Bush doesn''t have a son.

And back in the ''80''s when we were providing support for Iraq in their "war" with Iran, Saddam was OK then wasn''t he? What is it about this nation that we have to keep propping up boogey men for us to fear to be a world power. Meanwhile, Bush and the greedy job outsourcing billionaires in the nation have weakened us and our manufacturing capabilities to a point that we couldn''t fight a real war if we had to unless we use nukes.

Hmmm, now i''m not the smartest tool in the shed, but you don''t seem to know the difference between conservative and liberal. Ahmenijahd is no liberal. Case in point, is it a liberal or a conservative ideology to restrict marriage for ***, or *** in the military? (hint: conservative)

It is very ironic that the ''right'' in american politics hates the ''right'' in other countries politics. Self-hate, such a sad thing.

Sorry, but it is not the Saudi''s or Iraq, Iran etc. that is causing the extreme price increase of gas. The total blame belongs on the speculators. They alone are driving the price up. N. Gingrich has the right idea, he said the Feds need to dump all our oil in reserve to be refined and that would bankrupt all these speculators that are killing the rest of us. Of course since ALL the politicans in Washington are in the hip pockets of big oil, that won''t happen.

Everyone seems to want to blame President Bush, but in the 8 years of Clinton we were attacked what? 7 or 8 times and did absolutely NOTHING! Where did that get us, oh I''m sorry we DID shoot 2 missiles into Africa didn''t we! Wow what a deterant that was, wasn''t it?! DAH!!! I''d go with this President anyday, rather then a Peanut Picker, that only hurt our Military Power, rather then to build it up!
When I was in Vietnam, 69, we had near 675,000 troops, we do not have that many combined in ALL our services anymore! What a shame, and IF Hussein Obama gets into power, we will have even less then the 550,000 combined troops left in the service! But of course we won''t need that many, he''ll do nothing to anyone that attacks us anyway! Matter of fact I seen a film clip on "You Tube" were he says he will disarm the US if elected and ask all other nations to do the same! Sure they will, we all better learn a second language, just to get a loaf of bread, probably once a week or so! Our Military used to be the best in the world,we STILL have the best knowledge, but not enough people to enforce it anymore! What a shame, we are going to hell in a hand basket and nobody will help us like we have, countless times before! One thing the Liberals have always been good for and that has been to cut and run at the first sign of trouble, everytime! Oh they always talk a good talk, but have never walked the walk, just turn and run!

A UN report (no friend of the US) showed that IRAN is supporting terrorists or terrorist governments in 27 countries around the world. But Democrats will gladly sit down for a nice little conversation with the IRANIAN goverment while they scream Hate and Anger at the U.S. government.

Posted by demslie2u at 01:39 PM : Jul 08, 2008

Ok what troops would we use to go into 27 countries to get rid of them all?

Since when did it become the responsibility of the US to "control" other countries?

We have troops in most countries--why? Do we have an foreign troop bases here? Why not?

The US needs to concentrate on its own shores and the safety of the country instead of pounding democracy to countries who don''t want it. (If they did they would have it by now)

If Iran is supporting terrorists in 27 countries, let the 27 countries worry about it--we have no one left to help us.

To those who don''t think that Iran is dangerous....

A new law has been passed by the Iranian parliament extending use of the death penalty to online crimes. Previously, only people charged with insulting Islam or drug trafficking had been sentenced to death. In accordance with the new law, bloggers and website editors can be sentenced to death for crimes such as promoting corruption, prostitution and apostasy, the International Freedom of Expression Exchange (IFEX) reported.

U.S. exports to Iran grew more than tenfold during President Bush''s years in office even as he accused it of nuclear ambitions and sponsoring terrorists.

America sent more cigarettes to Iran -- at least $158 million worth under Bush -- than any other product.

Other surprising shipments during the Bush administration: brassieres, bull seaman*, fur clothing, sculptures, perfume, musical instruments and military apparel.
