Authorities think the vandalism to about 60 vehicles, estimated at $10,000 in damage, was done Saturday afternoon, police spokeswoman Sgt. Barbara Jones said.
The vehicles were parked across from City Hall and investigators said culprits tagged messages including "Obama smokes crack" and a racial epithet.
They even left business cards on the vehicles that disparage both the Illinois senator and his rival, Republican John McCain. The cards voice support for Sen. Hillary Clinton, Obama's former opponent.
Mike Lowe, a videographer working for The Associated Press, first told police about the damage. He saw three cars with anti-Obama messages, while the others were just heavily painted.
Police also found that many of the vehicles had open gas tanks.
Clinton won the Florida Democratic primary, but the contest was held early in violation of party rules. Party leaders initially said the state's delegates would not be seated as punishment, then eventually agreed to seat half of them at the national convention.
Clinton's supporters wanted the state's delegation fully restored. Instead, the compromise pushed Obama toward the nomination.

Getting hung up on experience wouldn''t have gotten us Washington, Lincoln or either of the Roosevelts.

- Obama is naive and inexperienced. He is not qualified to be President . End of story. No point putting a spin on it. Just as you would not allow a medical intern to perform surgery on yourself, I don''t want a political novice to be President of this great nation.

- If everyone were completely honest-... MCCAIN might not be perfect- but he is far more EXPERIANCED to lead this country. GET IT YET?!

Your "everyone" is going to be a minority. John isn''t what he used to be, so his experience is a moot point. With all his pages of flip-flops, he doesn''t remember much of that experience.
Besides, experience toward the presidency is highly overrated. Our most successfull presidents tend to be under-experienced (w obviously doesn''t fit that category), and our most experienced executives tend to be total losers. See "Great Depression".

Have you seen any of his Mental Evals since he''d been back in the country ?? ANyone has any idea about his state of mind, especially following the brutal torture he must have endured ?? Besides this hero is now 72yrs old - how many people at that age would you trust to be anything but retired ?? - Reply to this comment

- If everyone were completely honest- they might actually come clean about how they really feel- but so many are brain washed to think that a Democrat is for change and A Republican is like Bush- Time for REALITY CHECK. Obama is the next BUSH!! He has lied- he will continue to lie, and he is NOT QUALIFIED to lead a country. Period. MCCAIN might not be perfect- but he is far more EXPERIANCED to lead this country. - Jesterbelle- WAKE UP ! becasue the war stinks doesn''t mean you have deal with it like an idiot. Deal with it properly and end it, not like some child running away because you didn''t want it to begin with- the world is a much bigger place than your tiny brain.

- Do you know what a hypocrit is: Someone who claims to want unity by inferring that the USA has one Party. Someone who thinks he can change the government with no experiance. That is not only funny that is extremely scary, as scary as voting in a DUMMocrat who will bring about another war because he is not qualified enough to have dealt with this one properly.

That''s why one of their yipping points is that BO is only half black. It''s racist code for now, but they''ll trot it out again later as a rationale, so they can get some sleep on those long, sweatie, southern nights. - Reply to this comment

- There is never going to be "one Party" so better get into reality and realize the best the USA can succeed at is both parties working together. Obama & Clinton want ONE party- and that is just not reality. Working over the ailes and compromising is the key to accomplished issues and the safety of this country. McCain knows what that means & how to do it.
