Cooking.com Raises $13 Million; Continuing Efforts In Social Networking

They're more of an e-commerce play, but Cooking.com has been trying to glom onto the whole content, social networking tip as well the food-focused marketplace has raised $13 million in a second round led by Azure Capital Partners, which includes venture debt from Orix Venture Finance. The company had announced $7 million in venture debt back in January. In addition to its own site, the Santa Monica-based company powers third party food sties like FoodNetworkStore.com. It now wants to provide more editorial and social networking services, which is the direction it hinted it was going in back in January. Release.
