(AP)  Police in Bridgeport, Conn., say they arrested a man after he ordered his pet to attack two officers. Lucky for them, 9-foot-long pythons aren't very obedient.

Police say 21-year-old Victor Rodriguez was charged with threatening officers and disorderly conduct after Monday's incident. No one was hurt.

Police arrived at Rodriguez's apartment after receiving a report that he was threatening his girlfriend with the albino python.

After the building's superintendent opened the apartment door for the officers, Rodriguez allegedly threatened them with the snake and told it to "Get them!"

Rodriguez and his pet were both taken away: Rodriguez to jail on a $10,000 bond, and the reptile to the city's animal control shelter.

As if a snake is like an attack dog. I''d like to rent it to eat all of the little yappy dogs in my building.

Someone should throw a net over the cops involved with this one. there should be a law against armed police officers working without taking their Meds.

To everyone commenting about stupid cops. When i was in Lousiana a man was arresrted for threatening his landlady with poisonous snakes when she gave him an eviction notice. She called the cops and he threatened to throw them on the police until they threatened to shoot him. A poisonous snake would be a deadly weapon. In this case i don''t think a 9 ft long python would be too much of a threat, but 15 ft long ones can kill a child and even grown men. The python wasn''t arrested he was placed in an animal shelter since this nut shouldn''t have the right to have anything like this again.

He sicked a deaf snake on some sheep cops and they arrested him (if I where him I would do it again in court) They only way he could be arrested is if the girlfreind or cop has a snake phobia and then they charged him incorrectly... they should be out looking for truant teens brandishing tornados to taze!

Why did they arrest the snake? Is it a crime to be albino?
