Report: N. Korea Fires Missiles Off Coast

(AP)  North Korea has fired three short-range missiles into waters off its western coast in an apparent routine test, Yonhap news agency reported Saturday.

North Korea fired three ship-to-ship missiles into the West Sea on Friday, Yonhap said, citing South Korean government officials it did not identify.

The report said that two of the missiles appeared to have misfired. The projectiles appeared to be of a variety made in the former Soviet Union with a range of about 28 miles, Yonhap said.

The agency quoted an unidentified South Korean Defense Ministry official as saying the missile tests did not appear to be meant to provoke the South, since they were fired well away from contested waters off the western coast.

North and South Korea have clashed in the past over the delineation of their sea border in the West Sea. The area is a rich fishing ground.

Relations between the two countries have been tense in recent months since the new South Korean President Lee Myung-bak took office in February with a vow to take a tougher line on the communist North.

"The report said that two of the missiles appeared to have misfired."

Either the missiles weren''t any good or they don''t know what they are doing. It is scary to think that these things are in the hands of incompetent people. Who is to say that next time when they are "just testing" them that they don''t go further than expected and actually HIT something.

North Koreans is a liberl paradise. Free health care, government control of everything, and no independent talk radio are much more important than feeding its people.

You forgot to mention the 935 lies told by your hero, the fuhrer-in-chief.

You forgot to mention the 4,000 dead soldiers.

You forgot to mention the 20,000 seriously wounded troops.

You forgot to mention $4.00 per gallon gas.

I could fill page after page of your heroes failures, but your ilk just doesn''t get it.

Most importantly, you don''t seem to realize that more than 80% of us don''t buy your B-S anymore.

Prove you''re insane, vote for McCain.

Oh no, we better vote for a Republican to keep us safe from North Korea. North Korea might have to chose between feeding their people, having a complete blackout from lack of electrical power, or shooting one rocket at America across the entire U.S. Navy''s "on ship" anti missle systems and the entire West coasts anti-missle system. Run for your lives and vote Republican. We''re being attacked by aliens from outspace. Remeber Vote Republican and be safe.
