  •  (AP)

(CBS)  Tonight on the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric, Follow the Money with CBS News investigative correspondent Sharyl Attkisson.
The Farm Bill is so big and complex, once Congress figures it all out, it's good for five years.

It's so big and complex, that it's all the easier to slip extra "projects" into. In some cases, really big ones.

Take the Pacific salmon relief provision. That giant bail-out for about 1500 hard hit salmon fishermen in California and Oregon was stuck in by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi without a vote, after the House and Senate passed their versions of the Farm Bill. When they found out about it, both Republicans and Democrats started complaining about the size of the salmon relief, $170 million dollars, and the maneuver used to insert it without a Congressional debate. So we started doing some digging to see what it entailed. What we found may surprise you.
