(AP)  Amy Winehouse has been arrested on suspicion of drugs possession, police and her spokesman said Wednesday.

Winehouse's spokesman, Chris Goodman, said the arrest is connected to a video that is alleged to show the troubled singer taking drugs at a party in her home in north London.

Britain's The Sun tabloid in January published still images from a video that it claimed showed Winehouse inhaling fumes from a small pipe. The images were said to have been filmed during a party at her London home.

London's Metropolitan Police said a 24-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of drugs possession. Goodman confirmed his client was in police custody.

"Amy Winehouse voluntarily attended a London police station today by appointment. She was arrested in order to be interviewed and is cooperating fully with inquiries," Goodman said in a statement.

"The interview relates to a video handed to police earlier this year," he said.

Winehouse is famous for her hit "Rehab." She has had a turbulent private life. Last month she was cautioned by police for assault after she slapped a man during a night out. That means no charges were filed, but the incident was placed on her record.

Shortly after The Sun published still photographs of the video, Winehouse entered a London rehabilitation center.

I think Amy Winehouse is a great talent. Unfortunately the drugs have a hold on her that''s hard to shack. I sure hope she can overcome her addiction and go back to making great music.

A lot of women are emotional basket cases. Drama queens. Addicted to making bad choices in all areas of their lives. Then calling 150 of their closest gal pals on their precious cellphone & crying about it 24-7. Oy.

Newsflash: Grammys do NOT equal musical talent/songwriting excellence.

-----

You got that right. If Vanilla Ice can get a Grammy for Ice, Ice, Baby...then anyone can get one...even Amy Crackhouse.

Just a few more months and my death pool on her should pay handsomely. I''m in for a C-note on an OD before summer is over.

Maybe her next song will be Prison instead of Rehab:
"They say I gotta go to prison, but I say No! No! No!"

She''s a ***. Leave her to her own devices (i.e. crack pipe) and let her OD; we''ll be rid of her in a couple of months.

This poor girl has issues that make Britney seem normal. It''s a shame to see someone who has been handed the world on a silver platter throw it all away. Her music may or may not be that great. I listen to different stuff but 5 grammys says that there is something special there. But if one is dead set of self destruction there isn''t much anyone can do to stand in the way. To bad.

"Great talent"? I don''t see it. Guess I''m not young & hip enough. I don''t hang out in the right bars & night clubs. Or do the cool drugs.

If she killed herself, her CD sales would go way up.

What a surprise. Drugs...go figure. Just another celeb who thought they could control their drug use. Yawn. She''s hideous. Too d a m n skinny.
S k a n k city. Guess that''s the heroin. Or whatever. Regarding her talent, much ado about NOTHING. You would think she''s Chrissie Hynde & Janis Joplin the way everyone goes on about her.

Can''t you at least be original in your self-destruction, beeyotch?

Great talent heading toward a brick wall -- Janis Joplin all over again.

What a shame...

It was so refreshing to hear her album. Not the same old R&B vocal exercises like every American Idol reject out there. The lyrics didn''t need to be so crude but overall, a brilliant album. Too bad she doesn''t realize she has so much more potential. What a waste.

BENAL1 - talented, probably, but if her lyrics weren''t so disgusting when not devolved, she''d be a lot more popular. (I''ve read some of her lyrics and to call it "garbage" would be a compliment...)

Shows you why the Brits could benefit from a written constitution with some kind of Bill of Rights. Since when can police arrest people for being photographed with a pipe in their hand? How do they intend to prove what was in the pipe? Can you repeat with me and George Orwell, "police state"!?
