Facts and statistics on sexual assault and rape, with victim resources.

(AP)  A 51-year-old man who claimed to practice Voodoo has admitted telling underage girls that if they refused to have sex with him terrible things would happen to them and their families.

Westchester District Attorney Janet DiFiore says Hector Aviles of Yonkers pleaded guilty Thursday to second- and third-degree rape. He could be sentenced to up to 15 years in prison.

DiFiore said that at various times in 2006, Aviles told three girls, ages 16 and 14, that he could help them with such problems as boys and parents if they engaged in a sexual "ritual" with him. He warned that if they backed out, he would make bad things happen to them and their relatives.

The district attorney said that when he was arrested, Aviles told police he practiced Voodoo, a religion imported from Africa and practiced mainly in the Caribbean.

The male s e x drive is very strong. A 12 on the scale from 1 to 10. We think about s e x all day long. Never stop looking at young, pretty, *** girls. How many women have the *** drive of men? You won''t find too many men suffering from "low libido."

There is no reason for a man who isn''t a relative or family friend to be talking to your daughters. He doesn''t need help to "find his dog or cat." Doesn''t need a 10-year-old girl to give him directions. He can pull up to a gas station for that. He wants to molest your daughters. He will use his "charm" & "sweet talk" to achieve that end.

Make sure your daughters know about men. And the birds & the bees. Might also help if you didn''t let them dress up like Jodie Foster in "Taxi Driver."
Men don''t need any encouragement.

Rushman: Get a reality check up yourself, the only difference between voodoo and "religion" is it''s popularity. An abomination to god? As opposed to what, Bad Hair Preening Preachers on the tube begging for money "for Jesus", or the freaky family down in Topeka who protest at soldier''s funerals and claim god hates everyone but them?

After all the decades of the so called sexual revolution, it is amazing how many people --no matter how wild they were, become the epitome of their uptight, closed minded parents and think if they don''t mention sexxxx their kids won''t be exposed to it. They will--unless you homeschool them, watch them every single minute and keep each of them separated from all other people and each other.

Train your kids and discuss (in detail) molestation and sexxx. Offer scenarios and ways to escape or minimize harm. Do it, or face the stories from your kids in later years as they tell you what their best friend''s dad did to them, one time--and live with the guilt of being oblivious.

Just remember this when raising kids: YOU DON''T RAISE YOUR KIDS TO ENTERTAIN YOU, OR GIVE YOU JOY OR JUST TO HAVE SOMEONE TO LOVE, NOR TO BE YOUR FRIEND--THAT MAY BE WHY YOU HAVE KIDS BUT NOT WHY YOU RAISE THEM. You RAISE your kids to be an integral part of society--this means manners, common sense, values, principles and enough knowledge to defend/protect themselves. So you tell them about life and don''t wait too long to do that due to innocence--or they will be taught anyway by life--and it may be in ways you can''t mitigate or repair. You raise your kids for the world--and the world is not friends with your child.

Got a lot of stories like this--not all so graphic --some unfortunately more so. The point is, my mom trained me to NOT entertain men or humor them when they approach me without invitation. Seduction implies a person using superior wiles to coax someone into sexxx. From the slant of this article, this was not seduction, it was extortion. Most people who are seduced are willing partners--those who are extorted act from fear.

The point is this--people think if they don''t speak it, then it won''t happen. That''s childish. My mom had taught us about sexxx and molestation by the time we each were 7 years old (4 other siblings) She taught my brothers the same since men rape boys too. She did not mince words, she did not pretty it up, she told the stories, gave us real life examples from her past and those of people she knew--had others share--we got the point. I stayed a virgin until after I was 18--by choice and given that teachers and cops as well as neighborhood grown ups were trying to get in my and my sisters pants all those years-that is no mean feat. If trained right--people can avoid situations that require them to voluntarily capitulate. But then, there are the child snatchers --that is a different matter all together.

This would not be the last cop to accost me, but this "neighborhood cop" was the only one to accost me before I was at least 18. I was walking back from the A & P when a police man pulled right up to me and said "hey young lady, come here". He was a cop so I walked over. He had his window and his pants down and his thing sticking straight up. He told me to bend over and get a closer look. I was shocked so did not move away quick enough and he grabbed me. I ended up struggling, my legs waving and kicking outside the car and my chest and face mashed between him and the steering wheel. He let me go when another car came down the street and I took off running, Very painful experience--because the window edge bruised my ribs and stomach terribly. But the point is, sometimes it is too late for the hat pin and sometimes luck or God will save you --by giving a window for escape. Thankfully, this one incident made me very wary of the police--so that when I started college and they kept coming after me (mostly stops then asking for dates but some more intense and ugly) I knew not to trust them and NEVER, EVER to voluntary go anywhere with them. (They used to offer me rides in their cars or on their bikes) and when I later got a car, they would stop me for fake reasons, then ask for a date or my name--though a few just came out and told me what they wanted to do to me. Nice.

Many places have freaks like this. In one of my neighborhoods growing up the man was a photographer and many girls went to him for Senior or modeling pictures. I went to him also. The man was a hunchback and looked even scarier than this guy. The first 2 sessions with this man were all above board and I took a friend. In the last, he asked to see me alone to discuss my portfolio and said my friend was a distraction. I discussed this call with my mom. In the end, I went over there. Started okay but he suggested my shots needed jazzing up and he pulled out some cut offs with the butt cut out and told me to put them on. I refused. He showed me shots of a lot of the girls in the hood who put them on--I still refused. He told me that I was acting like a baby and didn''t I want to act like a woman--nope. When the hard core porno of men shooting *** across the room mags came out--I just turned around without a word and ran out. I never went back==not for the pics, not for anything. My mom had warned us about molesters and trained us well in what to do, I had my hatpin in my hand from the moment he pulled out the crotchhold and buttless shorts. The man was supposed to be such a Christia----he was a perv. then there was this cop who pulled over to the curb when I was 13 and rolled his window down and told me to "come here" ...when I got there, he had something to show me.....

Sorry kiddo, unfortunately I do. I was pursued by grown men from the time I was 13. Even a rogue cop tried to pull me through his car window and onto his waiting peniz. Been there, done that--I am lucky that no murdering child snatcher got me and just everyone was into seduction or quick grabs like that cop. But my mom trained me well and she taught me how to stab with my hatpin and run like the dickens. She also taught me not to be so respectful of authority that I let anyone do anything to me. She said the minute they talk or act like they want to get to know you better or touch you--get away and don''t care what they or anyone else thinks. It is the failure of parents to prepare their kids AND the providing of opportunities by the same clueless parents that put their kids at the most risk. (Like sleepovers and out of town parties with men present) women often act like the stories they hear or the ****** they went through cannot happen to their kids--it can, it does and it will. in the next post, I''ll give ya a little excerpt from my own files.

For those of you who blame the girls, get real. I am sure he was quite creepy, scary and intimidating, maybe if it were your daughter, you would have more compassion but I doubt it.

That''s the point, if the man is so creepy, scary and intimidating looking, why would any girl allow him to get close enough to talk to them let alone hear him out or go to his home for more "in depth" discussions. I have 2 daughters and I know for a fact, they would have run from such a sinister looking person sooo fast, that they would have left skid marks.

Nancy_Naive: Your name sure does fit you well since you made that comment. Comparing someone claiming to practice voodoo (a different form of witchcraft) to someone who IS a priest, a minister, or a rabbi (all of these know that the practice of witchcraft is an abomination to God) IS incomparible. Go get a reality checkup!!!

its not the girls faults period. Thats why there is a law stating statutory Rpae and is enforced. Kids get convinced of things especially when they are having troubles and someone threatens them or their families. ...How much control do you really think young girls have over their lives? pretty much none unless they are highly educated rich kids and very worldly.
You dont know how this guy works or what he told them, so you cant judge why this kids were convinced.

So who is more at fault for this nonsense? Him? Or the silly girls who were stupid enough to listen to him. Most of us would have run if someone that crazy looking even walked toward us let alone started trying to hold a conversation.

To buy into this ******. The girls had to be conversing with him (and old nut) and they had to believe in voodoo and his ability to do it (superstition like that is taught in families)

He is a sick nut--but they need some counseling too. Their entire families do. Molestation is by and large a crime of opportunity. Opportunities for molesters decrease when people/kids refuse to give them the time of day--let alone be alone with them for "talks".

He doesn''t look as if he thought that up on his own.

He must have gotten it from someone, huh?

I''ve heard of some strange ''pick up'' techniques, but this guy definitely is in the top 10% when it comes to weird, illegal techniques!

His weirdness suggests he may have been the victim of a malpracticing voodoo agent!

Anyway, put him somewhere where he can''t hurt anybody else, is that asking too much of our corrupt judicial system officials?!
