Social Media Influence Tracker BuzzLogic Buys Blog Bookmarker Activeweave

Internet influence tracker BuzzLogic is acquiring software marker Activeweave, the creator of "blog retriever" app BlogRovR. BuzzLogic believes that Activeweave's technology can enhance its analytics and help it grow its Conversation Targeting ad service, which it launched last fall. The service tries to make connections between popular blogs and other social net to offer predictions where best to target online ad campaigns. Activeweave has also marketed a "sticki" product, a social bookmarking tool. As part of the acquisition agreement between the two San Francisco companies, BuzzLogic will retain CTOJean Sini and CEO Marc Meyer. Financial terms were not disclosed. Since January 2007, BuzzLogic has raised a total of 12.1 million in funding; in 2006, ActiveWeave received $0.6 million in seed funding. Release
