Alleged Drunk Driver To Face Judge After Sandra Bullock Car Crash
A Gloucester, Mass., woman who was allegedly drunk when she crashed her car into an SUV carrying Sandra Bullock is due in court.
Neither the actress nor her husband, Jesse James, was hurt in the head-on accident Friday night.
Police say 64-year-old Lucille Gatchell had a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit in Massachusetts.
Gatchell is scheduled for arraignment Tuesday in Gloucester District Court on a drunken driving charge.
Bullock is in the Cape Ann area for the filming of the romantic comedy "The Proposal."
Streisand Cancels Israel Performance Hosted By Israeli President
2 Israel says Barbra Streisand has pulled out of a celebration of the country's 60th anniversary next month.
Streisand was one of the big-name guests slated to appear at a Jerusalem convention hosted by Israeli President Shimon Peres beginning May 13th.
The singer was supposed to perform a rendition of the Hebrew prayer Avinu Malkeinu, or "Our Father Our King."
Hasselhoff Undergoes Minor Surgery
3 The Hoff was in the hospital.
Former "Baywatch" star David Hasselhoff was taken to the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center on Saturday to have something removed above his eye, his publicist, Judy Katz, told The Associated Press Monday.
"He's fine, he had something removed, he's coming out tonight," Katz said, declining to elaborate on what was removed.
Rumors that Hasselhoff checked into rehab were not true, Katz said.
Hasselhoff, 55, was treated in a hospital for alcoholism in October.
Court documents released last week show Hasselhoff's divorce settlement calls for him to pay $25,000 a month to support ex-wife Pamela Bach and their two teenage daughters. Bach and Hasselhoff share joint custody.
They were married in 1989 and divorced in 2006.
Michael Moore Endorses Obama, Disses Clinton
4 Michael Moore wants voters in Pennsylvania to cast their ballots for Barack Obama.
Moore endorsed Obama in a 1,100-word posting on his Web site Monday. It includes praise for the Illinois senator and harsh words for Hillary Rodham Clinton, the Democratic Party and the Bush administration.
Lamenting the lack of a valid primary in his home state of Michigan, Moore writes that Obama's experience and voting record aren't as important as his "basic decency" and ability to inspire.
"What we are witnessing is not just a candidate but a profound, massive public movement for change," Moore writes. "My endorsement is more for Obama The Movement than it is for Obama the candidate."
The 54-year-old Oscar-winning filmmaker was hardly as kind to Clinton.
"Over the past two months, the actions and words of Hillary Clinton have gone from being merely disappointing to downright disgusting," he writes, saying that she has tried to "smear" Obama - "Like you were nuts. Like you were a bigot stoking the fires of stupidity."
Most of Moore's ire is directed at the Bush administration "and the permanent, irreversible damage it has done to our people and to this world."
"I, like the majority of Americans, have been pummeled senseless for eight long years," he writes. "That's why I will join millions of citizens and stagger into the voting booth come November, like a boxer in the 12th round, all bloodied and bruised with one eye swollen shut, looking for the only thing that matters - that big 'D' on the ballot."
