Strange Bedfellows: Hillary And Scaife

Billionaire Publisher Helped Fund "Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy" Against Bill Clinton, Now Endorses His Wife In Pa. Primary

(AP)  Could it be the "vast right wing conspiracy" is having second thoughts?

Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton was endorsed Sunday by the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, whose owner and publisher, billionaire Richard Mellon Scaife, personally funded many of the investigations that led to President Clinton's impeachment in 1998.

It was one of a handful of endorsements the New York senator has received from Pennsylvania newspapers before the state's primary Tuesday. Most of the state's major papers have endorsed Barack Obama.

In its endorsement, Tribune-Review editors said Obama is too inexperienced to be president and that his recent comments about bitter voters living in small towns showed a lack of respect for middle-class values.

"In sharp contrast, Clinton is far more experienced in government - as an engaged first lady to a governor and a president, as a second-term senator in her own right," the paper said. "She has a real voting record on key issues. Agree with her or not, you at least know where she stands instead of being forced to wonder."

Clinton met with the Tribune-Review's editorial board, including Scaife, last month. Afterward, Scaife wrote an editorial titled "Hillary, Reassessed," declaring how impressed he had been by the former first lady.

"Her meeting and her remarks during it changed my mind about her," Scaife wrote.

In the 1990s, Scaife helped support conservative groups and publications investigating Bill Clinton's financial dealings and sex life.

Richard Mellon Scaife, who funded smear campaigns against Hillary Clinton's husband
Scaife spent $2.3 million to fund a series of articles by The American Spectator magazine that dug into Bill Clinton's behavior as governor of Arkansas.

The magazine reported that Clinton had asked state troopers to help procure women for him and that he had sexually harassed a state worker named Paula Jones. Jones's legal case against Clinton helped launch an independent counsel investigation that eventually exposed his relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

Hillary Clinton famously defended her husband at the time, saying the allegations were part of a "vast right-wing conspiracy" heavily funded by Scaife.

This is true inspiration to turn your rival, and disbeliever to endorsement. OBAMA fanatics will never understand because they are snobs who look down upon people.

Scaife once said that the only thing he had in common with Bill Clinton is they are both womanizers. That I believe. As for supporting Hillary, it''s obvious that he''s afraid of Obama getting the nomination and later beating McCain. Obama is intelligent and by far the best candidate for President. He will be a welcome change from the thugs now running the government.

Mellon Sciafe has been funding millions to roll back unionism, health care, social security, for all his adult life.

Don''t be fooled, he wants Hillory to win - but why?

Because everyone knows McBush will beat her, but lose against Obama

The arguments of the OBAMA fanatics is skittish.

The possibility of consipiracy between Hillary And Scaife is close to zero because of their past. Americans watching the election will be the witness. Nobody is going to play such trick in front of Americans, specially newspaper editor.

OBAMA fanatics can bad-mouth lots of things but they seem to use their rear to think of the frontiers that is breaking for Hillary.

I do think that the Republicans want Hillary to run against in November. They''ll pound on her with her past, and all her present mistakes. This alliance with Scaife is just distasteful and shows that she wants this nomination more than she cares for the well-being of her party, or her principles. Isn''t that what we had with Bush? It''s time to drop out Hillary. I''ve heard it said why not Oboma drop out. It wasn''t Romney or Huckabee who dropped out McBomb was in the lead. Obama is the Dem in the lead. Historically it''s the person running second that concedes.

It sounds so improvable that Richard Mellon Scaife would join forces with Hillary Clinton. But then we hear Hillary%u2019s campaign has run up a deficit and we all know that she is the type of person that will stoop to any level and do anything to get what she wants. Could her campaign deficit and her joining with Scaife just be a coincidence?

Another example of the republicans pushing Hillary because they believe she will be easier to beat in November.

Sen Clinton tells the Indian government, that she supports the continuance of outsourcing

jobs to India! I think the voters should be outraged that any politician is for outsourcing premium American jobs.

Remember NAFTA anybody.

View the article and pass the word in PA.

On February 26, addressing the India Today Conclave

2005, the Senator urged Indian Industry to invest more in

her country. Though U.S. understood that economic

vibrancy of India was in its own interest, there are people

who feel left behind and might stir up %u201Cnegative feelings%u201D

against India because they do not understand the economic

benefits of outsourcing, Clinton remarked.

"Sniper Fire" Hillary and "I did not have *** with that women" Bill, will say and do anything to get elected. There is nothing too low for the Clintons. They are just sleezy people. Oh I forgot, they wear flag pins, that makes them OK.

"Abbe91: How can you have a free and fair election in a country occupied by a foreign army? Sounds like an oxymoron.

That''s true. The funny thing is that at the end of the day, the winners were not the ones supported by the foreign army.
I guess your remark stands for Iraq too.
