(AP)  A homeless man has come forward with two sets of confidential ground zero blueprints that he says were dumped in a Lower Manhattan trash can.

The man brought the Freedom Tower plans to the New York Post, which says the 150-page schematic is marked: "Secure Document - Confidential."

The documents are dated Oct. 5, 2007. They contain plans for each floor, the thickness of the concrete-core wall, and the location of air ducts, elevators, electrical systems and support columns.

The agency that owns the World Trade Center site, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, calls it a serious security lapse.

Spokeswoman Candace McAdams says mishandling the blueprints would be "cause for serious disciplinary action." But she says the plans are not detailed and have been updated several times since October.

The Port Authority spkesman said "but the plans are not detailed and have been updated several times since October".

Give me a break, this is another bureaucrat covering up for a collosal failure of common sense. More than 2 levels of Port Authority management (or whomever had responsibility) need held accountable and actually fired for this breach so that others understand the seriousness and repercussions.

I cant believe that there is still a big hole there...I totally thought on Sept 11 2001 that there would at least be some significant construction going on there.

And some people still believe it was hard to get the blueprints to the WTC 1, 2 & 7 pre 9/11

Public Letter to 9/11 Commission Chairman from FBI Whistleblower
by Sibel Edmonds

August 1, 2004

Cont-

In October 2001, approximately one month after the September 11 attack, an agent from a (city name omitted) field office, re-sent a certain document to the FBI Washington Field Office, so that it could be re-translated. This Special Agent, in light of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, rightfully believed that, considering his target of investigation (the suspect under surveillance), and the issues involved, the original translation might have missed certain information that could prove to be valuable in the investigation of terrorist activities. After this document was received by the FBI Washington Field Office and retranslated verbatim, the field agent''s hunch appeared to be correct. The new translation revealed certain information regarding blueprints, pictures, and building material for skyscrapers being sent overseas. It also revealed certain illegal activities in obtaining visas from certain embassies in the Middle East, through network contacts and bribery.

It''s hard to believe that someone could make such a mistake as to just throw away something like that. I hope that the homeless man got some $$$ for it cause if it would have fallen into the hands of a terrorist, they''d know just about the right amount of explosives to use to take down the new building or memorial to go up at the site.

And like posted before. Come on, it''s 08 now, it''s been seven years almost, can we PLEASE get something built there in the memory of those 3,000?!

The Freedom Pit. One day to be replaced by the Freedom Fortress. The Bush mafia hate New York liberals more than they hate freedom itself. Hot dog! Five dollar! Come see the Freedom Pit!
At least the original design featured windmills but, no, they hate clean energy.
One day Osama bin Laden will turn on the Bushies in Texas and Florida who financed him and profited from the Pet Goat Lesson. It''s called blowback.

Did FEMA or some other agency at the behest of the White House grant a no-bid contract for the rebuilding at the World Trade Center site? Or, was the contract handed-out by state authorities?!

In any event, it "sounds" like a Bush administration mistake; though I don''t want to blame them if this is ONE thing they didn''t mess up!!

Is the Port Authority of NY & NJ actually responsible for letting the rebuild contract? Or, does some other govt entity do it?! One never knows!

Anyway, the homeless man deserves a ''hearty'' thanks and a sizable reward for securing & turning in the plans!

Oh HARDLY you drama queen! anyone can go down to the Hall of Records on Chamber street and you can look up everything about any building in the city- including blueprints, floor plans, permits, photos, ownership, costs and all subsequent work done that requires a permit- and that would include replacing your sink.

ALL you need is to look up the address and obtain the block and lot numbers on their maps, and the search begins, even I did it when I was a teen.

The man was immediately renditioned and sent to an undisclosed Black Site to be tortured, just to make sure he''ll never tell this story again.
Meanwhile, all reports were being removed from existence, and new stories put out about an "Urban Legend" that some homeless guy found plans for Ground Zero in a trash can.....
Nothing to see here, just the NWO being installed,....

Ground Zero Plans Found In Trash

Homeless Man Turns In Confidential Freedom Tower Blueprints To Newspaper

This reminds me of the story on the evening news where the Vendor tables outside the main gate near the military base in Afghanistan had every military item from inside the base for sale! Apparently the cleaning crews were robbing the base blind. TV cameras showed portable hard drives, ID badges, laptops, office supplies, dated daily briefing plans with photos and locations of criminals and terrorist! lol, One Officer joked some of the plans on the Vendors table were more up to date than the ones he had! I never saw anything like it, not only was it extremely embarrassing, it was funny as all hell.

Your point is true, but the real lapse was that a document marked "Secure Document - Confidential." was thrown into the trash, it obviously didn''t go through the declassification process in place for the destruction of documents marked as such.

It wasn''t the contents of the documents, it was that someone violated procedure.

"The are only two ''Ground Zeros'' and 1/2 million people die at them." - Nancy_Naive

"what are you babbling about?" - jamesm12341

The two "ground zeroes" Nancy was talking about are most likely Nagasaki and Hiroshima, where the USA dropped nukes.

"Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it." - George Santayana

Those who can''t even REMEMBER such historical events, ... well, I don''t know why we even bother to attempt to communicate with such ig.no.rant people!

Hell,it is no wonder that we get all this BS,from terrorist organizations. All that would have took was a Islamic extremist to dig those secret documents out of the trash, and they would have known exactly where every rivet, and bolt went. That is just perfect the way everyone has forgotten about the bad guys, and have let their guards down
