(AP)  Britney Spears' adventures behind the wheel continue.

The pop star was involved in a minor traffic accident late Saturday, but no one was injured, authorities said.

Spears was driving her 2008 Mercedes on the eastbound Ventura (101) Freeway just east of the 405 freeway about 8:20 p.m., said California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball.

Spears was in stop-and-go traffic when her car struck a 2006 Nissan in front of her that had stopped. The Nissan then pushed forward into another vehicle. No damage was noted to any of the vehicles.

The CHP took a report and no one was cited.

An after-hours e-mail sent to Spears' publicist was not returned early Sunday.

In 2006, Spears was photographed driving with her son on her lap.

A misdemeanor hit-and-run charge from an August 2007 parking lot crash was dismissed after she paid an undisclosed amount to the car's owner.

In October, she pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving without a valid driver's license and later obtained a temporary California license.

Showbuzz once again posts a non- story and once again can''t get the facts right.

-- there WAS minor property damage, read the police report.

-- she was NOT driving without a valid license in October, she just didn''t have a California license.

-- she was NOT issued a temporary California license, it''s a standard license.

-- the settlement in October for the parking lot fender bender was NOT undisclosed, it was reported to be at $1500 and the woman said she was satisfied.

Showbuzz, write about something meaningful and try to get it right.

I agree with robertstom1 that Britney needs a driver; however, she is living the small town girl''s dream - get your license (this isn''t a real requirement to the following), get a car and then drive the wheels off of it. Down one end of town throught the Dairy Queen parking lot (to see who is there) and then down to the other end of town to drive through Sonic to see who is there. This is an endless loop and if you think it is not real, I assure you it was my life. The trick is to grow up and get another life by the time you are Britney''s age.

Has it occurred to anyone in the Spears entourage to get her a freakin'' driver? She''s obviously lacking in the driving skills department. Is it that expensive to hire someone to get her from point A to point B?

Was she drunk? High? Stoned? Sober?

Or is she just an accident?

In seriousness, is this the result of singing crass songs, doing crass music videos, and so on? If she had no self-respect, the pattern might go back farther than what most people have been thinking.
