Hillary Tells Bill To Back Off On Bosnia

By
Jim Axelrod
(CBS)  "She started talking about Bosnia, and she misstated the circumstances under which she landed in Bosnia," Bill Clinton said Thursday. "And you woulda' thought, you know, that she'd robbed a bank the way they carried on about this."

It's the last topic the Clinton campaign wants to talk about - ever. But there was former President Bill Clinton yesterday in Indiana raising his wife's trip to Bosnia in 1996, CBS News chief White House correspondent Jim Axelrod reports.

Last month on St. Patrick's Day Hilary Clinton spoke about it.

"I remember landing under sniper fire," she said.

Watch Clinton's St. Patrick's Day remarks.
A week after she said that, CBS News ran a video disproving it. The next day Clinton admitted she misspoke.

And the former president said: "She took a terrible beating in the press for a few days because, she was exhausted at 11 o'clock at night and she started talking about Bosnia and she misstated the circumstances under which she landed in Bosnia," he said. "Did you all see all that?"

The fact is, she didn't talk about it "exhausted at 11 o'clock at night," but at 9 a.m., after a day off, Axelrod reports.

Bill Clinton might have thought twice about his line of defense.

"And some of them, when they're 60, they'll forget something when they're tired at 11 at night, too," Bill Clinton said.

Watch Bill Clinton's complete remarks.
Hillary Clinton's best-known ad this campaign has been about her ability to think straight in the middle of the night. Remember, "It's 3 a.m….?"

Bill Clinton's outbursts have overshadowed his wife at several key points this campaign - and knocked her campaign off message.

Remember when he had an outburst while talking to a reporter?

Which is why those Clinton supporters who've been wishing someone would muzzle him would like what Bill Clinton says his wife told him.

"Hillary called me and said, 'you don't remember this, you weren't there,'" he said. "'Let me handle it.' I said, 'yes ma'am'!"

Asked about it today, Sen. Barack Obama obeyed a cardinal rule of politics: Don't kick your opponent when they're already kicking themselves.

Is it really true that Hillary Clinton took steroids for breast enlargement? We know she wants to win at any cost but this is a bit much.

Hillary runs her campaign just as she will the Presidency. Bill is her husband in this campaign and nothing more and nothing less. Hillary is now and will always be in charge in her Presidency.

Hillarys problem is that voters know how easily the Clintons lie; and that both Hillary and Bill would lie on a stack of bibles.

Misspeaking is one thing, repeating something over and over makes it a FLAT LIE !!
The Clintons simply cannot help themselves; they tell a big lie when a small lie will do. And they tell a small lie when the truth will do. After careful training from Bill, Hillary can lie out of both sides of her mouth at the same time even when there''s no particular reason to.
Lets face it, it takes a bare faced liar to confuse a hug from a little girl in Bosnia with the terror of running from sniper bullets.

If you think that a few Clinton lies are acceptable then just look at the trouble the country is in because of the lies of President Bush: one million Iraqis and over 4000 American servicemen dead; the lies of a President really do matter so God help America if the world famous misspeaking Clintons get elected.

Hillary is NOT a liar.

I must admit that as a parent, it is all too easy to confuse a hug from a little girl with the terror of running from sniper bullets.

When they televised my head being taken off by a sword they were sending a message of condemning America. When they showed Obamas pastor on TV he was condemning America. Is there any difference?

Where is the united states of America? Our pledge to this country I guess has gone out the door? Will we let the likes of Farahkhan, Wright, Obama and Sharpton run our country? Maybe they will teach children in school that white people keep down blacks.

Who will we allow to run our country? A racist? A Liar? or a prisoner of war validated?

All that said, I''m supporting Obama, but I will be thrilled to have either Hillary or Obama as my president. Both are such a breath of fresh air compared to the evil and greedy King George.
