Speaking at Indiana's Butler University, Chelsea Clinton reproached a student who asked if the Monica Lewinsky sex scandal had damaged her mother's credibility. Harry Smith reports.

(AP)  Chelsea Clinton had a quick retort Tuesday when asked whether her mother's credibility had been hurt during the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

"Wow, you're the first person actually that's ever asked me that question in the, I don't know maybe, 70 college campuses I've now been to, and I do not think that is any of your business," Clinton said during a campaign visit for her mother, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Clinton had picked out the male questioner as she wrapped up a question-and-answer session at Butler University. It wasn't immediately clear what statement by the first lady the questioner was referring to. Before she was fully aware of her husband's relationship with Lewinsky, a White House intern, Hillary Clinton said the allegations about that relationship were manufactured by a "vast right-wing conspiracy."

Clinton's answer was met with loud applause from the about 200 people in the audience. After the applause, Clinton responded, "and I also don't think that should be the last question."

She took another question on global warming and wrapped up the event.

ONCE AGAIN....Obama may find himself in hot water--not for something he did, but for who he knows. Those Rezko indictments are sure to heat up and spill over and cause damage!! Unfortunately for Hillary--she can''''t catch a break, soon to potentially break in the news is the story before the California appeals court which show not only that a campaign fraud done by her mgr concerning Paul and Lee was ugly, but that Hillary (HERSELF ONCE AGAIN)was involved. At issue is a 250K donation made to her senatorial campaign. Her staff said she had no knowledge of it, so she was not roped into the scandal when her campaign mgr faced charges of hiding that money from the IRS.

Unfortunately VIDEO may again place Hill in deep doo, doo. It seems there is a video tape recording her discussing the fund raiser with the donors (on it, she talks about who would be there and what they will do) this means she performed what is known as a direct campaign request. donations from donors for that kind of request are limited to 25K. Since the donation was for 250K, that would be considered campaign fraud.

Woe is Hillary and Damnnnn those videos and tape recordings that make being a great liar so hard to keep up these days!!! ROTFLMAO.

What her mother did when bill was fooling around is our business

I agree with bobnjersey: that''s ridiculous. Furthermore, it wasn''t even the question asked, which Chelsea answered in an appropriate manner.

Our culture has gotten so intrusive and crass that we think we can ask anyone anything and they ought to answer.

I agree with Chelsea on this one--people need to mind their own business and not ask malicious questions.

Whatever happened to civility? Oh, wait, this is a dumb place to ask that questions anyway...

[What her mother did when bill was fooling around is our business cause they were in the house of the people.]

that is absolutely ridiculous. ya want to know how many squares they use in ''the head'' of the house of the people? or how about thong vs. panty vs. brief? is this on your list of ''must know'' items, too?

it seems the clintons did a great job with their daughter. she is just as agressive as they are, anyone who expresses their opinion like she does now all over the country should be able to answer questions. What her mother did when bill was fooling around is our business cause they were in the house of the people.

If someone asks you about what yer dad did, with malice, aren''''''''t you gonna want to slug him?

What a stupid ******** question to ask of someone''''''''s daughter.
Posted by solar991 at 03:32 PM : Mar 26, 2008

IF SHE CAN''''''''T ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS, MAYBE THE CLINTONS AREN''''''''T CUT OUT FOR POLITICS.
Posted by solar991 at 02:31 PM : Mar 26, 2008

Its relevant because its on my teevee set. Its relevant because terrorists call us infidels. Its relevant because legislators are supposed to be held to a higher standard. Its not about the audience. Its about her, her mom, and her dad.

(in response to my question about why the question was relevant)

And my personal favorite...
Why''''''''''''''''s it low? Some stud here said it himself! 50% of the american constituency have that same problem. Is this not a moral? Family issue? 50% of american families.. THEIR KIDS! Kids who gotta deal with a ******** nymphomaniac parent!

It *is* an issue! It *is* a valid question.

Agreed. Now, tell me again why Chelsea is accountable for it?

Posted by deemsnyd at 03:24 PM : Mar 26, 2008

Because when you enter the public arena, you are accountable for all baggage of yourself and immediate family and acquaintances. Which is why Obama is still fighting over comments his wife made--not him, a house deal he made with an indicted person and a loud mouth racially insensitive preacher. When you enter this arena all is fair game and will be exploited--Chelsea has entered the arena. Everything from the Bosnian sniper lies to her dad fvcking other women, to her mom hiding files--is all on the block and all up to be use d in the game. She knows this. If she can''t play or doesn''t like the way the game is played--she can get out--or develop rhino skin like mom and just face down the hordes.

And yet Chelsea did have time to LIE and play to her mom''s fake message of Sniper attack in Bosnia. I used to feel sorry for her--but now, I''m wondering--if she can play to the lie her mom just told, why not help out her old man in the lie he told years ago?

. But Hillary persevered to try to make their marriage work. What went on behind closed doors we will never know, but they are together

Are you kidding??? The one and only reason she stayed with him is because she had political aspirations. If she didn''t have the White House in her sights he would have been toast.

Because you''''re wrong. Its not a matter of taste.

Posted by solar991 at 03:16 PM : Mar 26, 2008

It''s really just a matter of opinion, if you get down to it. In my opinion, I am not wrong. In your opinion, I am. In my opinion, you lack class and tact, in your opinion...get it?

"I''''m going to answer it? Like 50% of the electorate would, who''''s moms and dads have affairs, and hate it. And think its a buncha ******** psychobabble.. that there''''s anything acceptable about it. Because it breaks apart families. And makes us all basttards to the truth. The infidels."

If I were Chelsea, I''''d have told myself: "This is an opportunity. Not to blame, but to make people understand a mistake is a mistake. And maybe the news is getting too partisan. Maybe people will use National Security for ill-conceived methods of manipulating an electorate. But I''''m not going to blame you for your question."

Posted by solar991 at 02:56 PM : Mar 26, 2008

Then why didn''t you say this in the first place? This makes more sense than your constant cursing/rambling earlier.
