Industry Moves: Time Warner Makes Finance and M&A Exec Changes

Time Warner (NYSE: TWX) has made some executive changes in its finance group:
-- Edward Ruggiero, currently SVP, Corporate Finance at Time Warner, has been elected SVP and Treasurer, reporting to CFO John Martin. Ruggiero succeeds Raymond Murphy, who is retiring. Ruggiero will oversee the company's worldwide treasury activities, including capital markets, bank relations, cash management, project finance, real estate finance and risk management.
-- James Burtson, currently TW's SVP, Investor Relations, has been named to a new position as SVP, reporting to Martin, with responsibility for overseeing TW's M&A efforts.
-- Douglas Shapiro, who joined Time Warner in 2007 as VP, Investor Relations, succeeds Burtson as head of Time Warner's investor relations group.
