Pop Star's Wardrobe From CBS Guest Spot On "How I Met Your Mother" To Be Auctioned

(AP)  It seems almost everybody wants a piece of Britney Spears, and a lucky few will soon own a piece … of her wardrobe, anyway.

Six pieces of Spears' wardrobe from her guest-starring stint on CBS' "How I Met Your Mother" will be sold at an online auction beginning Monday; the same day the episode featuring the pop star is set to air.

Spears plays a flirty receptionist who falls for the show's main character played by Josh Radnor. In one scene, Radnor comes in to the dermatologist's office with a new mustache. Spears tells him he looks like a young Tom Selleck only "a million times handsomer."

In pre-released clips we see the Britney Spears we used to know, bubbly and put-together.

Six Spears-worn items will be available, including a navy print Juicy Couture dress, a yellow Nannette Lepore dress and a cream Nannette Lepore cardigan with blue flower details. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Natural Resources Defense Council, an environmental organization.

CBS and 20th Century Fox Television, which produces the show, are sponsoring the auction. It begins at 9 p.m. ET Monday and ends at noon ET March 31 on SeenOn.com.
