Harbinger Ups NYTCo Stake; Now Owns Nearly 19.4 Percent

A little surprising, since they already won board representation, but Harbinger has slightly upped its stake in NYTCo (NYSE: NYT). In a filing this evening, the firm says it made two buys earlier this week totaling 447,000 shares. This brings the group's total stake to about 27.7 million shares, or a 19.36 percent stake in the company. At the end of February, when it last announced a purchase, it had about 22.2 million shares, or 19.03 percent of the company.
