(AP)  Casey Knowles didn't much like a recent campaign commercial for Hillary Clinton - even though she's in it as a sleeping 8-year-old.

After all, she's about to turn 18 now and is a big supporter of Barack Obama.

"What I don't like about the ad is its fear-mongering," Knowles told ABC's "Good Morning America Weekend Edition" on Sunday. "I think it's a cheap hit to take. I really prefer Obama's message of looking forward to a bright future."

The well-known Clinton ad aired in Texas before last week's vote and implied a lack of experience on Obama's part. It showed an exterior of a Colonial-style home and old stock footage of Knowles sleeping in bed. A narrator describes a phone ringing in the White House: "It's 3 a.m. and your children are safely asleep. Who do you want answering the phone?"

Clinton won the Texas primary by a 51-47 percent margin.

Knowles said she didn't see the ad until Jon Stewart lampooned it Thursday on "The Daily Show." Her brother noticed it was her, and the family replayed the commercial on their digital recorder to be sure.

"They were parodying this ad, kind of poking fun at it," Knowles said. "My brother was like, 'Is that Casey?' And we just erupted. Sure enough, it's me."

The file footage was originally shot for a railroad company advertisement. The Clinton campaign bought it from Getty Images.

Knowles, a senior at Bonney Lake High School who turns 18 next month, has been campaigning for the Illinois senator. She attended his rally at Seattle's KeyArena on Feb. 8. Her mother, Pam, told The News Tribune of Tacoma that Casey cried and trembled after shaking the candidate's hand.

The next day, she was a Democratic precinct captain for the state's caucuses. If she plays her cards right, she could go to the national convention.

Not to mention that she could be in another ad. After her identity became known, Obama's campaign contacted her.

"I mentioned that we should make a counter ad, me and Obama, against Hillary," she said. "They thought that was really funny. They actually might take me up on it."

That said, Knowles said she plans to vote for whichever Democrat wins the nomination.

have to laugh over Hillary''''''''s so-called experience in the White House. Because she''''''''s so polarizing she wasn''''''''t able to get health care passed in 8 years. The only other things she did while "co-president" was (what she calls meaningless for Obama) give speeches.

Obama supporters are good at laughing. At least Hitlery attempted to reform health care. What did Michele Obama do. She holds a post with a not for profit hospital being paid over 300k per year to charge the underinsured and non insured 3 times the going rate and hire companies to strong arm those people for payment. But then again she hasnt until now been able to be proud to be an American. What a pice of crapse.

Iceman_1960,

You can copy and paste all you want. He has accomplished squat. His voting record shows that he wont take a stand on important issues. "Present" what is that anyway? Thats a copout. A cowards way to say I''m here to get my paycheck but I dont want to upset either side . Give me a break. He has no backbone, no experience and no plan for "CHANGE". Ill change my point of view if he clearly tells us how he is going to make all this change happen.

truth-hurts,

Those of us who speak Clintonese know what they''ve been intimating the past few days and why. If you don''t realize what she as ex-President Quarter Pounder have been suggesting it''s because you''re a bit slow.

Casey Knowles may like Obama - that''s fine, I do, too, and if he were to get the nomination, which appears to be likely, barring a major gaffe or revelation that derails his march to Minneapolis, I''ll readily vote for him.

The issue, though, is...what are you getting? Obama''s been very slick in this regard - promising a new, better world (we all hope for a better world, certainly) but having said *nothing* which will bring us that better world. More importantly, however, is what he says, where he says it, and how he says what he says where he is.

This man''s a chameleon, taking on the spots of the locale he''s in. Where we need sincerity, we have instead a cynical, fool-the-people-all-the-time strategy that''s (please note) working!

We have this now in our current (and too late to be ex-) president. It''s fine to support, and even succeed, in bringing to form the legislation that that long-form response describes. But you have to consider what''s possible in the U-S, and work on getting that done. We can all tilt at windmills, and take solace in the glory that one can extract from that, but the real measure of a man is how much he gets done. Or, as the Serenity Prayer says:

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

"Later in 2007, Obama sponsored with Kit Bond (R-MO) an amendment to the 2008 Defense Authorization Act adding safeguards for personality disorder military discharges, and calling for a review by the Government Accountability Office following reports that the procedure had been used inappropriately to reduce government costs. He sponsored the "Iran Sanctions Enabling Act" supporting divestment of state pension funds from Iran''s oil and gas industry, and joined Chuck Hagel (R-NE) in introducing legislation to reduce risks of nuclear terrorism. A provision from the Obama-Hagel bill was passed by Congress in December 2007 as an amendment to the State-Foreign Operations appropriations bill. Obama also sponsored a Senate amendment to the State Children''s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) to provide one year of job protection for family members caring for soldiers with combat-related injuries. After passing both houses of Congress with bipartisan majorities, SCHIP was vetoed by President Bush in early October 2007, a move Obama said "shows a callousness of priorities that is offensive to the ideals we hold as Americans."

Part IV: (Continued from Part III)

"In the first month of the newly Democratic-controlled 110th Congress, Obama worked with Russ Feingold (D%u2013WI) to eliminate gifts of travel on corporate jets by lobbyists to members of Congress and require disclosure of bundled campaign contributions under the "Honest Leadership and Open Government Act", which was signed into law in September 2007. He joined Chuck Schumer (D-NY) in sponsoring S. 453, a bill to criminalize deceptive practices in federal elections, including fraudulent flyers and automated phone calls, as witnessed in the 2006 midterm elections. Obama''s energy initiatives scored pluses and minuses with environmentalists, who welcomed his sponsorship with John McCain (R-AZ) of a climate change bill to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by two-thirds by 2050, but were skeptical of his support for a bill promoting liquefied coal production. Obama also introduced the "Iraq War De-Escalation Act of 2007", a bill to cap troop levels in Iraq, begin phased redeployment, and remove all combat brigades from Iraq before April 2008."

Part III: (Continued from Part II)

"As a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Obama made official trips to Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. In August 2005, he traveled to Russia, Ukraine, and Azerbaijan. The trip focused on strategies to control the world''s supply of conventional weapons, biological weapons, and weapons of mass destruction as a first defense against potential terrorist attacks. Following meetings with U.S. military in Kuwait and Iraq in January 2006, Obama visited Jordan, Israel, and the Palestinian territories. At a meeting with Palestinian students two weeks before Hamas won the legislative election, Obama warned that "the U.S. will never recognize winning Hamas candidates unless the group renounces its fundamental mission to eliminate Israel." He left for his third official trip in August 2006, traveling to South Africa, Kenya, Djibouti, Ethiopia and Chad. In a nationally televised speech at the University of Nairobi, he spoke forcefully on the influence of ethnic rivalries and corruption in Kenya. The speech touched off a public debate among rival leaders, some formally challenging Obama''s remarks as unfair and improper, others defending his positions."

Part II: (Continued from Part I)

Partnering first with Sen. *** Lugar (R-IN), and then with Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK), Obama successfully introduced two initiatives bearing his name. "Lugar-Obama" expands the Nunn-Lugar cooperative threat reduction concept to conventional weapons, including shoulder-fired missiles and anti-personnel mines. The "Coburn-Obama Transparency Act" provides for the web site USAspending.gov, managed by the Office of Management and Budget. The site lists all organizations receiving Federal funds from 2007 onward and provides breakdowns by the agency allocating the funds, the dollar amount given, and the purpose of the grant or contract.[63] In December 2006, President Bush signed into law the "Democratic Republic of the Congo Relief, Security, and Democracy Promotion Act," marking the first federal legislation to be enacted with Obama as its primary sponsor."

"Obama took an active role in the Senate''s drive for improved border security and immigration reform. In 2005, he co-sponsored the "Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act" introduced by Sen. John McCain (R-AZ). He later added three amendments to the "Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act", which passed the Senate in May 2006, but failed to gain majority support in the U.S. House of Representatives. In September 2006, Obama supported a related bill, the Secure Fence Act, authorizing construction of fencing and other security improvements along the United States%u2013Mexico border. President Bush signed the Secure Fence Act into law in October 2006, calling it "an important step toward immigration reform."

"Clinton is wrong to suggest that... Obama lacks substantive accomplishments. In fact, Obama sponsored more than 800 bills during his eight years as an Illinois state senator. And his U.S. Senate career, while brief, has been action-packed." - Factcheck.org

Several national polls show Obama beating Arizona Sen. John McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee, by bigger margins than Clinton. The only hint of how each might fare against McCain state by state, the way a general election works, comes from SurveyUSA, a non-partisan polling firm, which last week released polls of 600 registered voters in each of the 50 states.

The bottom line: Both Obama and Clinton would get the 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency, but by different paths.

Obama would win 24 states with 280 electoral votes, to 256 electoral votes in 26 states for McCain. Clinton would win 20 states with 276 electoral votes, to 262 electoral votes in 30 states for McCain.

jack may I add a** to that..Osama is not Presidential material..The only media that comes close to telling the truth about this guy is SNL..they''ve hit the nail on the head with their 3am call routine..I have been a democrat my whole adult life, but I will vote for McClain if Osama gets the nod..He is childish and immature. He runs from reporters tough questions, which really aren''t that tough since he''s their golden boy.
The media has shoved saint Osama down our throats from the beginning..It''s going to be a sad day if he wins..whitey doesn''t stand a chance..Just ask Osama''s good and great friends Sharpton and Jackson..but of course they''ll tell you "it''s not about race"..LOL..then threaten riots if he''s not elected..NOOOO it''s not about race,uh huh..When in the history of the United States has there ever been a threat to the safety of Americans if a certain person was not elected President?.. NEVER..until now.Is this what you want for a President? Not me pal..VOTE HILLARY''08
