(CBS)  Move over, Bill Gates.

In fact, move over -- twice.

You're no longer the world's richest person, according to the latest compilation of billionaires by Forbes magazine.

After 13 years in the top spot, Gates fell all the way to No. 3, even though his estimated fortune grew $2 billion, to $58 billion.

New up top is Gates' friend, charity partner and occasional bridge buddy, Warren Buffett, who added $10 billion to his estimated worth, bringing it to $62 billion.

Mexican telecom magnate Carlos Slim Helú's $60 billion makes him runner-up to Buffett.

The Forbes list was put together by Associate Editor Matthew Miller, who spoke about it on The Early Show Thursday.

Miller points out that stock in Buffett's company, Berkshire Hathaway, outperformed Microsoft's in the last year -- in large part because of Microsoft's unsolicited offer to buy Yahoo.

And Buffett's pot grew even though he gives away five percent of his shares each year to Gates' foundation -- Berkshire is growing more quickly than Buffett is shedding those shares!

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, at 23, is the world's youngest billionaire, worth about $5 billion.

Among the eligible bachelors on the list are grocery store mogul Ron Burkle, at some $3.5 billion, and Britain's David Ross, the founder of CarPhone Warehouse.

George Steinbrenner made the list for the first time. Even though his New York Yankees haven't won the World Series in awhile, they keep getting more valuable: They still make the playoffs each year, and the YES cable channel YES is worth a lot.

Among Miller's other interesting points: Moscow is now home to more billionaires than New York. That's because there are more Russian billionaires now than ever, and most live in Moscow. In the United States, billionaires are spread out, mostly in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

The Russian billionaires are into everything from construction to real estate to natural resources such as oil and gas.

Among those off the list altogether now is Starbucks founder Howard Shultz. The company's stock is down significantly, as Starbucks experiences trouble growing.

"Mexican telecom magnate Carlos Slim Helz''s $60 billion makes him runner-up to Buffett. "

Maybe the Mexican can hire some of the border hoppers!

There''s a myth that Mexico is a poor country. Actually it''s a pretty rich country, but only a few people share in it.

Kind of like the way America''s going under the Bushits.

Hey Buffet is the only one out there talking about how wealthy men like him and far down the ladder pay very much less in percent of taxes than low paid or middle paid workers. And hes one of few that knows its not a fair setup.
Rich people like him wouldnt have to be giving away so much to charities if the Government would tax the wealthy like they should morally, and use hte money to continually build infrastructure and conserve the environment and energy nationall and internationally.
What would it really take to send some millions to a third world slum country and build a sewage system and treatment plant and roades with drainage and a good solid recycling center and landfill? wouldnt that be a better use of our tax money than just handing it over to the local warlord and hoping he doenst use it against us?
