Sen. Hillary Clinton angrily charged Sen. Barack Obama with distorting her platform in his Ohio mailings, claiming they are inconsistent with his public persona. Jim Axelrod reports.

(The Politico)  This story was written by Mike Allen.

Obama campaign manager David Plouffe accused the Clinton campaign Monday of "shameful offensive fear-mongering" by circulating a photo as an attempted smear.

Plouffe was reacting to a banner headline on the Drudge Report saying that aides to Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) had e-mailed a photo calling attention to the African roots of Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.).

"The photo, taken in 2006, shows the Democrat front-runner dressed as a Somali Elder, during his visit to Wajir, a rural area in northeastern Kenya," the Drudge Report said.

The Clinton campaign did not deny the charge, but did not comment further.

(AP)
Plouffe said in a statement: "On the very day that Senator Clinton is giving a speech about restoring respect for America in the world, her campaign has engaged in the most shameful, offensive fear-mongering we’ve seen from either party in this election. This is part of a disturbing pattern that led her county chairs to resign in Iowa, her campaign chairman to resign in New Hampshire, and it’s exactly the kind of divisive politics that turns away Americans of all parties and diminishes respect for America in the world," said Plouffe.

The photo created huge buzz in political circles and immediately became known as "the 'dressed' photo," reflecting the Drudge terminology.

Now, explain to me, if Clinton has the Jews, the Catholics (which indidentally, ARE Christians), and the "Christians," who is this majority of Democrats who are for Obmama?? Wiccans??
You need to remember that his is a primary and the damage you do to the Democratic candidate during the primary, may come back to haunt you in the general.
You want McCain?? Then keep it up. kansas1946

look at the exit pols if you don''t believe me. Its true.

Hillary understands governing requires work. It requires ability to withstand scrutiny and hold firm in face of adversity.

Lets see are you talking about the Hillary that was sued for having the planning for national health care in secret session and lost or the Hillary that failed to help her husband get it passed or the HIllary who called the fact that her husband had an affair with Monica Lewinsky a vast right wing conspiracy or the one who can''t figure out what to act like now that she will lose the election

If Obama thinks the republicans that are voting for him now, are voting because they like him and his policies he is badly mistaken. So in the general, if you take away, 10% Republican support away from him, then another 47% of the democrats that voted for Hillary. I say McCain wins by substantial margin in general election. Probably by 10% in each state if not more, that is assuming that Hillary does not win the nomination. I believe she has to win in order for the democrat to be president.

Hillary spent her entire life facilitating change. I heard her speak in person. She understands listening to others is every bit as vital in leadership as speaking from pulpit. president is not a preacher. A preacher isn''t very effective if he doesn''t stop his sermon to listen to congregation. Hillary cares. Hillary understands that she is far more fortunate than most. Hillary understands governing requires work. It requires ability to withstand scrutiny and hold firm in face of adversity.

Results of the exit polls show that Hillary has a very high support of Catholics and the Jewish. She also has most of the Christians.

I Bet people who opted for Obama, when he was a different choice, a change from the old to achieve happiness in unhappy time, I bet many of them, including famous and powerful people, wished they had waited to discover brain of Hillary, heart of Hillary, Hillary the fighter, Hillary the Warrior, Hillary the leader that they didnot know, Hillary the clear choice for their families, Hillary the practical Senator who can bring Congress and Presidency together. Yes, there will be buyers regret.

Obama will not be trumphed by Hillary tonight.

She will probably lose Texas and therefore be done.
GO, Go, Go away Hillary and your holier than though
aura.

Let all the investigations begin and we will be divided forever on Obama''s dress and makeup.

Hillary does not inherit the Whitehouse.

This was posted on September 9, 2004 from the Herald&Review, an Illinois newspaper:

"While some people believe NAFTA has been good for U.S. farmers, the trade results could have been better ...Obama said the United States benefits enormously from exports under the WTO and NAFTA. He said, at the same time, there must be recognition that the global economy has shifted, and the United States is no longer the dominant economy.

%uFFFDWe have competition in world trade,%uFFFD Obama said. %uFFFDWhen China devalues its currency 40 percent, we need to bring a complaint before the WTO just as other nations complain about us. If we are to be competitive over the long term, we need free trade but also fair trade."

America produces most of the world''s food supplies and is paid by our government not to grow crops in order to keep food prices high for the American consumer.

Obama stated here that he is not turning his back on the farmers of America.

Obama stated that "America benefits from exports from NAFTA and WTO."

Does America benefit from exports while others suffer?

Yes, and this is what Barack is claiming to stand for. Looking to change liberalization and make trade fair.
That''s why he went after China and the policies that the Clintons and Bushes allowed to benefit the Chinese.

China has $1.3 Trillion dollars in reserve surplus from WTO. They will be the dominating world bank in the future.

New York, which she won, has 7,445,442 Catholics, Florida, which she won, has 2,316,652, and Michigan has 2,285,842. That%u2019s alot of Catholics! Rhode Island has 63% Catholic in their population. Texas has 6,047,027 and Ohio has 2,157,097.Pennsylvania has an astounding 3,315,884 Catholics, whew we!!!....need I say more! Lol

NAFTA has ruined northern Mexico, go there and tell America that the people are better off.

For Iraq, Obama did not vote for an illegal war.

At least he has the wisdom and diligence to lead this country.

We do not have kings and queens in this country. No Clintons and Bushes for eternity.

What proof do any of the Hillary Clinton bashers have that it was her camp that submitted this photo to Drudge? Maybe Republicans did it? Maybe the Obama camp did it? Such paranoia, insecurity and a rush to judgment by the Hillary Clinton haters is laughable. The current Obama scrutiny right now is a tea party, compared to what will happen in the fall if he''s fortunate enough to get the party''s nomination. He''s a public figure and should first and foremost be cognizant of his image and what his detractors will think of him. If he didn''t want scrutiny and challenge, then he should have never decided to run for any public office.

Obama said he was against NAFTA, but supports Peruvian trade agreement which is an extension on NAFTA.

OBama said he is against politicians taking money from PAC and lobbyist. Obama takes money from state based PAC and lobbyist who are affiliated with the Washington lobbyist.

Obama said to help pay for his purposed health insurance he would raise taxes and raise the tax on SS wages.

Obamas real estate deal and relationship with Arab- American activist Tony Rezko raises ethical questions. Rezko is in jail, he was a large contributor to Obamas fundraising. Obama was sold his home and land at a huge discounted price by Rezko.

Obamas church %u201CTrinity United Church of Christ%u201D in Chicago, gave Louis Farrakhan an empowerment award and publicized an interview with him in their Trumpet News Magazine. The Publication was titled, %u201CThe Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan.%u201D Louis Farrakhan is a Black Muslim Leader. In a book titled, %u201CThe Islamic Invasion%u201D by Robert Morey, C.1992 he states:

%u201CIn a video tape of the 1991 %u201CSaviors Day%u201D celebration, the head of Farrakhan%u2019s army stated that he was tired of hearing people say that they were willing to die for Islam. What he wanted to know was if they were willing to kill for Islam (Morey, 1992)
